Of course you are correct. Impossible to hide it. Not a skerrick of evidence to back up his repeated claims.

Just like I said test and you will find the Covid cases which you said did not exist.  Nice to see I was wrong there as well, not.  MOPH still has their data base closed off for the search features we discussed as far as excess deaths, but then you like a few others could care less.  back to my research and news feeds.  TTFN

Seems to be a deflection from the clientele of the Krystal club, whom I doubt typically fit into this age bracket...given their prices.

Sisaket had 22 infections in this Jan-April wave as of last night - all in the last week. Before this wave it had less than a handful of infections since Jan 20. Of the 22 infections half are in the 20-29 age bracket. As best I can tell from their profiles none of them are government ministers and most of them went partying (mostly outside this province) and then returned to/came to this province just before or during Songkran.

So I agree with the observations of the CDC guys in this instance. Have your fun with the lampoons of ministerial attendance at hi-so girly bars but as far as I can see it is the ordinary young joes going about their natural inclinations to party that are mostly causing this distressing scenario around the country. How distressing will depend on whether the inexplicably and remarkably low death rate continues or not.

It probably is the younger age groups that are not abiding by the rules and causing the increase in infections as they are more likely to party and see themselves as less likely to suffer serious side effects. However if ministers and other high up officials don't abide by the rules then that's not a good example to give to younger people and will make them less likely to stick to the rules themselves.

Sadly for you the statistics don't support your statements,

UK = 4.38 million cases, 127,000 fatalities.

TH = 37,500 cases, 97 fatalities.

I feel quite relieved to live here and not be reliant on that level of intelligence.

And how many tests did the UK make compared to Thailand? If you don't actively test you won't find any infections. Thailand has been reactive to the virus rather than proactive, hence the lower results.

See how many infections turn up all over the country in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

More importantly, see how many dead people turn up instead! Numbers of cases are questionable in both countries, the number of dead as a result of covid are not.

Let them come as long as they don't try to tattoo a number or bar code on my arm

Tattoos on the arm can be concealed. It would need to be much more public. Maybe a yellow star painted on the chest and back of your clothes?

Pure deflection.   However I did see many IG stars posting big mask less dinners ( but under 10), bday parties, and video from the kolour parties.

I think it is good they put the managers of krystal in jail.  Jail not a safe   place from covid now.   Need a few hiso or parliament members sentenced.

Funny how they are begging foreigners who attended the colour parties to come forward and get tested.   Did you read about the blond famous young woman woman who was allowed to take a non stop private van to CM after her positive test so she can quarantine at home?  ( Did she have a P- Suzy) .  Now some family are positive.  I wonder if the driver has to quarantine 14 days now.   If your super rich Thailand is a great place to live.

What is your fascination with thinking that if there was covid in big numbers here in Thailand the bodies would be stacking up.  They have been dying all along just not tested or counted as Covid, much like the lack of testing has kept the numbers low.  But hey believe what you want and keep talking about how great this government is doing or has done, you definitely are a true government supporter like a few of the crowd who are no longer with us or posting.  Look at the percentages by deaths per numbers of population tested for here in Thailand and then other countries.  Might do you a world of good to see how close percentages might be, but then you wont have all of Thailand's data because the MOPH has locked of sections of their data base for certain numbers which would show you what an increase in deaths they have had over previous years.  Enjoy your views, and allow me to have my own as well as the others and stop gaslighting people.

So there are loads of deaths misrecorded as non-Covid? What is your evidence for this? What is your logic?

You think that tens of thousands of doctors and even more nurses all support the otherwise unpopular government and are prepared to stay silent about such a gross misrepresentation? Like many conspiracy theories IMO your position does not stack up due to lack of whistleblowers.

And yes, I do not have an explanation of the extremely low death rate (global deaths as a percentage of recorded cases are 254 times those of Thai deaths) but that in itself does not support jumping to a conclusion of conspiratorial understatement of deaths. And no I am not a government stooge. I detest dictatocracy. Not a reason to invent criticism on specific issues though.

Many people in Thailand do not die in a hospital nor are they seen by doctors or nurses.  They die at home with family around them.  Then 3 days later or so they are cremated. No autopsy no medical examiner.  I had 3 family members die this way last year in February.  Only notification was to a police officer who took the info down and that was it. They all had some type of respiratory ailment. Never diagnosed just given meds at the local clinic in the village and a few days  to a week later they passed on.  I dont expect you to understand as you seem to think all see doctors or nurses or go to the hospital.

I do understand and I agree that in the early days of Covid there will be some deaths that have been unrecorded as Covid with those characteristics. I think that is an outdated view of how people have been dying over the last year though. In my experience in the villages (being rural dweller) I do not agree that people have been dying quietly at home with no doctor or nurse intervention. Around my part of rural Isaan the health volunteers and local clinics are all over the cases of sickness arising in the villages and boondocks. Families do not allow their old to quietly slip away in the way you describe.

The nightclub it spread from in Huahin was an exclusive venue which held a concert, and was visited by 2 infected from Bangkok according to the Thai press.

So these were probably well healed Thai

That's not counting the swarm that migrate to the beaches every weekend in Cha Amm and Huahin.

So who is to blame here?

I can only think of one and it starts with G and ends with T.

I don't know how you managed to transition from me saying I believe the government numbers of covid cases and fatalities, to me be being an ardent government supporter, that linkage exists only in your mind and your assumptions, not in anything I have written!

And I confess I had to google the term, "gaslighting". Now that I understand its definition, all I can say is, you poor delicate thing you, how do you manage to get through your day.

I agree with what you wrote. I drive past the local crematoria twice every day and this serves a large are, it is currently used no more or less than in the past.

For sure, news about COVID deaths spreads quickly, not just in the moo ban, but all around. Even if it’s not true. Or if someone is killed by a ghost.

I've had girls that weren't old enough to take dancing. They can dance nude but can't go dancing. So funny.

Prior to the  paranoia over  Covid  what you suggest  could be arguably true . And yes in the early days perhaps some deaths were never defined as to cause. A complication that existed at that time was that in the northern regions there was a particularly nasty respiratory virus in circulation that has been mostly ignored in favour of speculation about covid-19.

What has changed since is the very intense scrutiny given to any signs of a respiratory illness even at household level generated by the continued paranoia. Even at  rural village clinic level there is a remarkable level of diligent response. Either rumoured or true any mention of covid detections is wildfire news.

Unsurprisingly people do continue to die at home and in many cases an autopsy is often deemed surplus due to the fact near all are the expected result of cancers, heart disease, alcoholism, diabetes, or a mix of those extending into those who have reached some quite surprising old  age.

This very morning I have heard the triple blasts announcing a passing coming from 3 directions.

I doubt very much they are victims of covid-19. More likely post Songkran victims of too much white spirits !

Over the next 2 weeks the picture may change but I seriously doubt any disguising or manipulation of statistics will occur!

ThailandRyan, you are banging you head against a wall. Especially against the one poster, who may be a government mole

on this forum to spread the low numbers that there are only 97 deaths so far.  I believe that the government of Thailand has never put out                                             any honest numbers regarding the COVID virus cases or deaths, since the beginning of this pandemic, as it would and still is,  bad

for tourism. As well, bad for their face.  TIT.  Sadly there are some posters, who drink the purple koolaid,  and believe

anything that the government and other officials put out as news.  My opinion anyway

Geezer

Elsewhere in the world the virus is surging because of P.1 and B.1.1.7 variants of concern are more transmissible.

I totally agree Thailand Ryan.

Why else would there be a block on MOPH information?

Who in their right minds believes army dictators?......only fools.
