I remember last year after the racist rant by Anutin. For quite awhile afterwards a lot of Thais thought every (white) foreigner was infected. I remember hiking up Khao Kitchakut a couple weeks later and watching as people would see me and immediately pull their masks over their nose/mouth and start spraying disinfectant spray.

And remember that Anutin was blaming "Westerners" for the problem, not the Chinese and that was long before the first cases of an infected "Westerner" coming to Thailand.
