I-Pad VOIP Audio Issue

Featured Replies

Genuinely asking for a friend.  He has a 15 month old I-Pad.  There is no audio on VOIP calls.  He only uses SKYPE.  Audio works fine on all other applications.  Apple tells him $300 to repair.

I did some searching and this seems to be an issue that's been around for a while but few fixes or workarounds suggested though some suggest it has to do with noise cancellation.  Several app developers complained about a VOIP call handling issue in the latest IOS.

Have any forum members experienced this?

Does he have iOS/iPad OS 14.5.1

Skype 8.7

and are his settings for sound correct and privacy correct

if it’s

yes

yes

power off the device and restart. Then comeback

its extraordinarily unlikely to be a hardware issue if all other audio is working.

there are more steps but try these first

skype is working flawlessly fo me, I just called the U.K. 2 days ago
