What is your or her concern? Getting sick? The taste of the water?

Personally I drink bottled water because of the better taste. And I use bottled water to make espresso - for the same reason. But if I cook i.e. potatoes then I use tab water.

As far as I know you won't get sick by drinking most of the tab water. But do you actually want to drink it?

If your wife wants to drink bottled water you would do well to look for the most cost effective means of providing it to her. As they say, "choose your battles", and this is an inexpensive on you likely will not win.

We have the 19l Singha bottles delivered weekly. It's cheap and they carry them upstairs as well.

Bangkok looks good

Free Residual Chlorine:0.43mg/L - norm is 0.2 to 2

Turbidity:0.42NTU - 1ntu is good, 0.5 is very good

Conductivity:250.00µs/cm - max allowed is 400

but

Salinity:0.1200mg/L - 900 to 1200 mg/L is regarded as poor quality, over is unacceptable

Rule nr 1.

Wife is always right.

... in this house, I have determined:

 - there is a Right way

 - there's a Wrong way

- and the Sommai way   (which Rules over all)

I have been drinking filtered water from a machine in my condo lobby for 10 years. Always tasted great until last week, it was kind of rancid and I poured it out.

with rainy season water should be less saline. That was the main concern, with warnings in the mass media.

In my area it is still very high, but just below unacceptable.

The best long term solution is good quality kitchen filter under sink
