Video: Careful where you park! Transformer explosion and fire engulfs two pick-ups

Thai media Daily News advised people to be careful when parking after a transformer exploded on Pahonyothin Road inbound to Bangkok. 

 

Pol Lt-Col Decha Rattanaphakdee of the Wang Noi constabulary in Ayutthaya responded with fire services as the resulting fire ignited wires and cables and caused damage to two pick-ups parked underneath.

 

Firemen had the blaze under control in 30 minutes.

A video at the scene caught the drama. 

 

The incident happened outside the Wang Noi Muang Mai market. 

 

The authorities surmised that the current hot weather had caused a lot of electricity usage and a subsequent fault in the transformer.

Be careful with your hotel room.

Once had a big transformer about 3 meters from the balcony.

Was hesitant to sit outside.

It was trying to transform into a Ferrari but it went wrong.

I like driving but parking gives me anxiety.

It was hammering down with rain one afternoon so I decided to leg-it to get to some shelter.

Just as I passed along a certain area a huge explosion above me almost gave me a heart attack, still running I looked back and up to see a pigeon hit the floor... toasted.

Further inspection showed a fuse on the transformer had tripped, but not quick enough to help the bird.

Cheap Chinese transformers, up on the main road by the market

you can hear them exploding  when it rains,one very heavy rain

storm , boom , boom, boom , 3 went off .

worgeordie do you think it could be couples in there rooms passing the time whilst it rains, boom boom boom?
