Those plants don't look close to harvest at all, still in veg ........... another 8 weeks to harvest at least.

Thanks, now we have some expert comments...????

With hemp growing in the hills, perhaps Phangan after all is the island with the secret beach that the hippies are searching for...????

You couldn't give them away unless some Thai is using the leaf for a food ingredient.

The Absinthe fairy told me that tourists pay tuk-tuk drivers B1000 for useless baggies of chop all the time, the good stuff gets exported, or sold to locals.

So must be a lot of foreigners with sore throats and headaches walking around. Better to smoke Krongthip ciggies if that is the case.

How it's done, they take the buyer in the tuktuk to "the dealer" in fact, they just go to a secluded spot, with little light, do the deal, and then immediately get in the tuk tuk and floor it. Leaving the punter standing in the soi B1000 poorer with a baggie of sweepings. One consolation is at least it's technically weed.

In Prague, the Gitanes do a trick with an evergreen vegetation wrapped in clingfilm, they partially open the film, burn a bit of the veg with a lighter and it smells like weed. The deal is then done, and they take off at a brisk trot.

sounds like a precursor to having someone squeal on you for a reward.

And that the ganja when ready would have been supplied to tourists when the island is opened again later in the year.

And they have evidence for that?

A lot longer than 8 weeks I think you'll find, the days are getting longer now so slow grow because no rush.

Heavens to Betsy its a good thing they found it before it was sold to unsuspecting tourists....just imagine the misery it would have caused.

Remember, just say NO!  (Unless of course you are dealing in drugs to pay for weapons for some terrorist group to topple a democratically elected leader).

Your comment surely shows you haven't a clue about being an expert on the cannabis plant. What reason would a cannabis grower plant hemp to sell to anybody? Hemp is defined as a cannabis plant that contains 0.3 percent or less THC, while marijuana is a cannabis plant that contains more than 0.3 percent

Thai stick is very much still around. It is after all, Thailands own wild genetic/organic strain.

Nobody, particularly here, was doing botanical science back in the day, so that stuff was, and still is the most commonly home-grown species here.

Every one of our local, middle-age, lower middle-class neigbours openly grows at home, including a Government worker.

The genie is absolutely out the bottle, but the fossils in charge still can't get their heads around wind-up gramophones, so they'll never understand -or lose their terror of illegal drugs, and don't want to.

nah, the business leaders of the world do not want drugs decriminalized/legalized and so they won't be for quite a while yet. There's just too much money at stake that's being perfectly rinsed through cryptocurrency, so much that if removed, could cause world wide economic earthquakes that would reverberate in every major country on the globe..
