I've heard it is but I got a COE last year and remember having to upload the visa page of my pp.

I may have to make a last minute decision whether to go to Thailand or Europe and there may not be time to get a visa before applying for the COE, hence the question.

How many times can you come in on VE?

There is no written limit on visa exempt entices by air. By land it is 2 per calendar year.

Thanks.

This may be a better option than renewing my Non O coz i have to travel a fair bit and never really have sufficent time to renew.

But spending 2 weeks out of every 2 months in quarantine might be a bit annoying ????

With reference to your post's title, visa matters (see earlier posts above). As for "ATM" you are very welcome to enter, the more ATM cards, the merrier and the more welcome you will feel.

"At the moment" cash and cards are most welcome.

It's possible and you currently get 45 days instead of the usual 30 visa exempt, to make up for the time spent in quarantine.

Does that mean you can extend to 75 days, ignoring covid extensions?

Yes. You're initially stamped in for 45 days and can extend by 30 days as per usual, for a total of 75 days as you wrote.

Yes you can apply for the 30 day extension.

Many offices would not do the 60 day covid 19 extension until after you got the 30 day extension.

Yeah, I wondered about that. It means the 45 days could turn out to be a disadvantage if it means you miss the last date to apply for the 60 day extension. Should be OK if going in the next month or so though.

At this time the order for the 60 day covid 19 ends on the 29th of July but there is about a 99% chance it will be extended again.

Coming in visa exempt, will the airlines still insist on a return / leave ticket before the 60 days are up. This has always been a problem with most airlines, so I always had my ticket out to a neighbor country. Obviously, this won’t be possible for the near future.

For visa exempt the airline will require an onward flight. You can book the cheapest onward flight and throw ticket away or you can use companies like Rent a flight ticket. Just Google for options. Thai immigration will not wish to see onward flight.

Currently visa exempt entry gives 45 days permission of stay.
