The switch for the Kawasaki driving lights is the button on the right. As there is no ABS on/off switch on the X300 it might have been added by the previous owner? If it was added for extra lights then where are they and why wasn't the switch removed when the light were? Doesn't matter. If you like it, buy it. I prefer my Kawasaki green colour scheme. What's with the chrome? stickers on the tank? There are extra rear lights, which is one of the switches. There's also an extra LED front light under the nose. The extra lights still work (photo below). I think the dark green was a color scheme for 2018? The stickers on the sides of the tank and on the rear panniers have been added to give a 'camo' look and to provide scratch protection for the tank. Still not sure though, as the price is not a huge saving over a new x300 (no luggage/lights 'City' model) including the current voucher discount. The used one may also need new tires soon, and perhaps a chain, but I guess these are not expensive? The savings of used bikes compared to new seem to be better on the 650's compared to the 300.

Thank you ...... yes it does look good. They were one of the dealers who seemed to be more interested in offering loans than selling bikes, but I'll try asking them again.
December 12, 20214 yr Author Popular Post So .... thanks for all the advice and suggestions, and I've finally bought my 'one bike for all uses". Yes, it took a while, what can I say, I'm fussy .... ????. I tried the Versys 650 ..... loved the ride, great for longer trips, but too heavy for manoeuvring in bike parks and for the 7-11 runs. CB500X was impressive too, and the 2022 model with improved suspension and twin disks is very nice, but the comparatively limited 'Big Wing' dealer network would be a nuisance, and it's still a bit excessive for the short trips. Tried the new Enfield Meteor - all the wright of a big bike, but without the power. The 350 Forza or XMAX would be a wise option, but what can I say, I'm just not a scooter person - been riding traditional motorcycles for too long. The Z400 was nearly the winner, but legs a little cramped for longer trips. I kept coming back to the Versys X300 ..... light weight, roomy for a 6 foot rider, decent for longer trips, still good for the short distance duties .... but I was thinking Kawasaki would eventually release an X400, so didn't want to buy a new X300. So decided the right bike would be a good used X300. Finding one was a bit of an odyssey, but eventually I found one I liked
