Popular Post webfact
File photo INN reported that the Government Pharmaceutical Organisation are charging private hospitals 1,100 baht for each dose of Moderna vaccine of choice. GPO chief Withoon Danwiboon said that this fee included tax, distribution charges and liability insurance charges. He said that all private hospitals offering the vaccine would charge the same. This was earlier reassessed as being 3,400 baht for two jabs. This means that the hospitals will be charging a 1,200 baht "service charge" to cover their costs. Well over 50%. INN said that 3.9 million doses of Moderna will be available in the fourth quarter (from October 1st) and 1.1 million doses from the start of next year. Registrations at private hospitals and payments for the jabs were expected to begin today, notes Thaivisa. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-07-01 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 1 1 4

Popular Post Forza2002
The 1,200 baht tax/service charge would be per vial? So the additional cost passed on to customers/victims should be 120 baht per jab? 2
Popular Post chakatee
So they will charge 600 per injection for the supplies (needle, syringe, alcohol, ...), the admin to register all, the nurses to check vital signs and screen patients if they're in proper condition to receive the vaccine, doctors on standby in case of side effects and so on. 2

For me it's not so much about the fee, it's more that the pricing structure and fee structure (for Moderna) changes almost daily. And hospitals are packaging and pricing (1 shot, 2 shots, all inclsuive) it differently. IMO better to agree on a pricing structure ahead of time, and then publish it. Most private hospitals have a fee structure for something like a flu shot: the flu shot a facility fee a nurse fee a doctor fee So use that, then apply any COVID fee to cover additional work product (monitoring patient for 15/30 min, etc.). Well over 50%. They are private hospitals, this is normal. The worst is Bamrungrad, I remember 20 years ago when one of my kids was born, they charged 300 baht every time we used the breast pump and a package of 29,900 baht turned into 82,000. 4

If you don't like it, go to the government ones.

Trying to pay now, most hospital websites are inundated right now. Crickets from Bumrungrad, expect they already have a list, and will not hit customers up for prepayment, but I could be wrong. I'm registrered there but have not heard from them since that registration (informal, via email). https://register.princhealth.com/en/home.html https://www.praram9.com/en/ probably a dozen or more others out there, seems like a land-rush today.
