The delta variant isn’t more deadly, it’s less deadly with a trade off of being more infectious. This is what successful viruses do once a lot of herd immunity, treatments, and vaccinations take place. Killing things it infects is secondary to spreading around and propagating for survival.

Also it weakens your immune system  so that you become more vunerable to infections your body might already have such as herpes, heart inflamation, ect

Nowhere... Look at Pifzer. They have asked authorization for... third jab.

 

So to summarize :

-the vaccine does not prevent infection

-2 doses are not enough against new "variants"

-a third dose is already programmed (actually, they talked about it way before the "indian variant"... Pfizer and Moderna were working on it.... last january !)

And as soon as the brutal Spanish lockdown was over - what happened then?   Was the problem solved or did it come back with a vengeance?  Presumably there was a better outcome overall than those foolish countries like Sweden who didn't put the army on the streets to stop people leaving their homes... right?

The list of things the government could have and should have been doing grows by the day. Certainly, with 2,000 cases a day in the Bangkok metro area, it should be locked down. Why they are letting the super spreaders travel, is obvious by now. 

 

Easy enough to set up road blacks. If they cared. But, at this point it appears to be deliberate sabotage, to make sure the youth stay off the streets. And the ironic part, is that their extreme malfeasance is making the rank and file angry now. 

 

There is no end game for the army. No plan. Only a sad and desperate future, filled with nothing but hatred from the people. And hopefully ultimate failure, as a political force. And one can only hope they are held accountable for their crimes against the nation, forced into exile, or absolutely disgraced, for their remaining years.

Our local BigC is currently closed for decontamination after, sadly, several of the checkout girls got it.

Up until Songkran we hadn't had a case, nearly 100 here now.

had a couple of families with covid come back from Bangkok but were soon carted away to isolation in town 

Heard we have another 2 families coming today from Bangkok, apparently they will be put in isolation in the local temple, with the monks looking after them 

Seems to be the only cases we have around here, but enough to close the schools and local market, which is rather pointless, when everyone now travels to the bigger market in the next town

It seems hopeless to explain this to thai authorities but covid is mostly spread through the air, not by contaminated surfaces.
