Popular Post webfact Posted July 19, 2021 Popular Post Posted July 19, 2021 Image: INN The Highway Police announced 19 places where those seeking Covid-19 treatment in their hometowns could stop for a comfort break. They were marked with a "pee" on a map. Highways chief Pol Maj-Gen Ekkarat Limsangkat said that many state and private agencies were facilitating people's efforts to get back to their hometowns for treatment. But if people needed a rest or a toilet break they couldn't stop at the usual places, gas stations, because of the risk of passing on the infection. So those helping such people are asked to phone ahead to one of the 19 centers for rest stops in the north, north east, center, east and south of the country. Many of the places listed by INN are hospitals, though there are also hotels, rescue foundation offices, a boxing gym and sports stadia. People are asked to phone ahead one hour so that arrangements can be made. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2021-07-19 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 6

KannikaP Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 Stop at the side of the road for a Jimmie Riddle, male or female, instead of driving a further 100 km or so to find a P sign. Or even for a Tom Tit. 1
Popular Post Whale Posted July 19, 2021 Popular Post Posted July 19, 2021 Do I read this right? So covid positives can travel back to their upcountry homes? I am bit confused but then again a lot of the articles here make me confused. 6
riclag Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 The idea is to share the facilities through out the country ! Why should BKK and near by communities take the brunt while the rest of the country's hospitals aren't nearly as maxed out IMOP 2

If you feel that letting people positive for covid drive around the country willy nilly is a good idea then I worry that <deleted> all has been learned by all the death and destruction around the world Scary thought really but if it needs to be done for logistical reasons such as lack of beds then it should be done by the good for nothing military utilising some of their vehicles and moving in convoy, anybody with half a brain can work that out... 1

Almer Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 This reads that people with known Covid can travel to get treatment, if that us right this has been the governments plan all along, to stop Bkk getting swamped and spread the load so to speak, if that is the case OMG, there is no hope of containment, and expect the very worst this can throw at us. 1

Looks to the the government's plan for turning the entire country into a dark red zone. Started back in Thong Lor during Songkran and now is a massive success.
thailand49 Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 I think this is due to their medical system? If you aren't a register resident for example in Chon Buri and you are from another province and get sick and need to use a facility in Chon Buri you don't qualify for the 30 baht NHS rate? Thus the reason for them traveling back regardless of them being infected. If this is true! Wouldn't someone in charge during this pandemic figure this out and wave this provision so they can contain the problem? 1
