AstraZeneca and Pfizer to be used as booster doses for Thai medics – DDC

The AstraZeneca vaccine will be used as a third, booster dose for medical personnel before the arrival of the Pfizer vaccine, after which both will be used, according to Thailand’s Department of Disease Control (DDC) today (Friday).

13 million AstraZeneca and Sinovac vaccine doses to be administered in Thailand by end of August

8 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine and 5 million doses of Sinovac vaccine are being administered through to the end of August 2021, while 15.38 million doses, mainly of the same two makes, have been administered in Thailand to date, according to the Prime Minister’s Operations Centre today (Friday).

TAT’s extended ‘Phuket + Surat Thani/Krabi/Phang Nga Sandbox’ model gets in-principal approval

The proposal seeks to reduce the mandatory stay in Phuket to just 7 days, then allowing travellers to continue another 7 nights in selected areas in Surat Thani, Krabi, or Phang Nga.

Nearly 5.5k patients in home or community isolation

There are now 5,411 registered Covid patients waiting for a hospital bed within the home isolation and community isolation programs but more than 70 per cent of them have only mild symptoms, the government said on Friday.
