Now Phuket is completely sealed with no domestic travellers allowed in at all, but delta is already here, too late I'm afraid. 3 1

Popular Post Owiee
I would suggest we are already at these numbers. The reported cases are stats obtained from people trying to get into hospitals, what about all those who have not been tested if testing was implemented across the country current numbers would be blow out of the water.

Dogmatix
It would be interesting to see what is in this buffoon's mathematical model. Garbage in, garbage out. Even with meaningful methodology, any model is meaningless with case numbers manipulated down with general lack of testing, refusal to act on results of antigen tests that have no provision for PCR confirmation. That also makes mitigation methods ineffective as he doesn't know where the cases are. Edited July 31, 2021 by Dogmatix
Dogmatix
Very obvious it is going to 60,000 reported cases and 450 reported deaths a day with real numbers many more before its done. This guy and his mates will continue fiddling around with his models while Rome burns and nothing anyone can do about it. There will be many more avoidable deaths.
Popular Post Guderian
The virus is spread by travel and socialising, especially in noisy situations indoors where people have to shout. They’re being fairly strict on the socialising part, with all bars closed, arrests at homes holding parties, and perhaps excessively strict as regards closing the beaches and sea, which present no risk to individuals who are then forced onto the relatively crowded walkways to exercise. However, in spite of supposedly tough restrictions being in place, they’re allowing free and unfettered travel between provinces, as anybody who has been to Bangkok in the last two weeks for a vaccination can attest. Since the current restrictions seem to be having no effect, and it’s hard to see how restrictions on socialising can get much tougher without actually banning all booze sales again, they need to get serious about stopping all non-essential travel, and not just mouthing platitudes about doing it. Then drove 3 days later to BKK on 28th with all necessary docs as they were catching a flight early next morning. No stops, no checks...unimpeded travel. Then could not get GRAB to Swampy, as GRAB said NO TRAVEL...so called nephew and he drove over at midnight and dropped them at the airport, then drove home...unimpeded. No stops or checks seen anywhere. All just a bunch of hot air. 555 2

Popular Post spidermike007
I guess what they are really saying is the economic lockdown is a failure, the sandbox scheme is a failure, the vaccination program is a failure, Prayuth is a failure, Anutin is a failure and we are looking into the tunnel, and it is the headlamp of an oncoming train. It would be quite a shame to admit all those failures, considering how many businesses have been crushed, how many lives ruined, and how many have been driven to suicide, which the media has likely been instructed to NOT report. Oh wait. Can I be locked up for 15 years for saying that? Have I just committed sedition? Yeah I know, the truth is a terrible thing. The other countries may have closed the books on the previous wave, but a new wave is spreading big in the West, and actually all over the World. Their numbers will also go up tremendously very soon. In US, mandatory masks are back, with strong pushback from businesses, as the infections of Delta are rising. In Europe, Spain and Greece are hotspots exporting Delta all over the continent. You hear of spikes in Japan, Korea, Australia... Even China has the biggest outbreak in Nanjing (apparently larger than Wuhan, according to BBC). So whatever numbers Thailand has, maybe it is temporarily moving it up on the scale, but others will very soon overtake again. Can guarantee that all mentioned countries are doing far more testing than Thailand so not really any comparison to be made. If there was an equal testing rate throughout then I could be swayed but highly unlikely.....
