Alternative Bangkok Immigration Office

Featured Replies

I obtained the 30 day extension to a 60 day tourist visa last month (UK National) at Chaeng Wattana.

I am hoping to extend my stay further via a 60 day covid extension but would like to get the extension agreed more than 3 days before my expected departure so I can re-schedule my flight and make appropriate plans.

Is there another immigration office I can use who don't impose this 3 day deadline and are likely to be agreeable to this application.  I am staying in Bangkok and have access to a car.

Many thanks in advance.

Chaeng Wattana immigration is the only immigration office you can use in Bangkok.

You should get approval of your application for a 60 day covid 19 extension while you wait.

As far as I know there is not way to get around the 3 day before your permit to stay ends requirement.

As an aside - presumably we are dependent on there being an appointment bookable within that 3 day window. i have a horrible feeling that might not always be the case.

In principle, as someone on a tourist entry, it would be possible for you to stay in a hotel in, say, Samut Prakan for one night, and to apply for the Covid extension there. However, at the current time, this would definitely not be according to the spirit of the government's restrictions on interprovincial travel.

The appointment site has been down since June. If you have a existing appointment it will be accepted.
