Covid 19 natural immunity vs vaccinations - an interesting article

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Very interesting, hitting on some key trends and developments on a vaccine that needs to be renewed for each new variant. CDC estimates 106M people were infected with covid, pre/post vaccine is unknown, but it's becoming more clear natural immunity is vital in managing covid and not euphemistically referred to as variant dependent vaccines.

Some in the know, scientists, doctors, are now citing vaccines as likely promoting new covid variants.

Of course, we'll call it rubbish. Over 99% of the people dying from Covid in US hospitals aren't vaccinated. What is so difficult to understand about that?

99% of COVID deaths are now of unvaccinated people, experts say

With the delta variant running rampant in the US, COVID cases are on the rise in what is now a "pandemic of the unvaccinated," the CDC says.

Really? Vaccines have to be renewed for each new variant? Do you understand what it means that 99% of all deaths from covid in the USA now come from the unvaccinated?

99% of deaths are unvaccinated ? Yeah I looked at the linked article I know thats the message its pushing. Another stat from CDC from 420 000 deaths in the first year in the states 99 .3% of deaths were people with one or more of the morbidities they talk about. Did not look at age only morbidities and the main one was obesity.  I guess my point is you think all that matters is vaccines. I think based on stats being healthy is more important. Don't worry I will get vaccinated as soon as I can but the fact is most healthy people don't have issues with covid.

What don't you understand about 99 percent of those dying being unvaccinated? Are you claiming that vaccinated people are all slender and without comorbidities? Because if that's not what you're claiming, how is that those who are obese and have comorbidities are highly protected by the vaccine?

At least in the USA it has become very political. With followers of a certain ex-President far more likely not to get vaccinated. Of course, reality ultimately can be a great changer of minds. Red states in the USA are experiencing a surge in vaccinations as hospitalizations and deaths sharply rise.

Until they do.  Then they beg the doctors and nurses for a vaccine, and are told "too late".

We call it like we see it, and yes, it's RUBBISH.

Author is a right-wing, conspiracy-oozing nut-job. Of course her latest book is titled "Slanted".

Amazed this type of lunacy is allowed here.

Not amazed there is an audience for this sort of thing.

Hundreds of these stories, quite sad obviously. It's one thing to make a choice for one's self, I respect that (except for the effects it may have on others of course), and choose to potentially contract a more severe case of the virus and pass away through ignorance. But those who try to influence others? Uh, uh. No respect for them at all.

Also interesting that anti-vaxxers don't want to be told what to do with their bodies, but oh my, they do love to tell women what to do with theirs.

Evidently you can teach stupid, and still not be able to fix it.

If you want to acquire natural immunity and avoid getting vaccinated, then by all means, go for it. Natural selection will quite naturally rip through this crowd, and that's fine.

I got vaccinated in the meantime. Each to their own.

Except that even one of the founders of wikipedia is telling people not to trust wikipedia.

Larry Sanger joined "Tucker Carlson Tonight," and said that because Wikipedia allows anonymous contribution, it has been taken advantage of by governments, corporations, criminal entities and other agents who "play the Wikipedia game" to create the desired "factual" result on a particular webpage.

BTW, not a fan of Tucker, but I do respect Larry Sanger.

Wikipedia comes with footnotes. It can be fact checked. Are you seriously suggesting that Sheryl Atkisson doesn't have a track record supporting anti-vax nonsense?

Natural Immunity to a disease you have never encountered is an oxymoron.

The author is a rightwing shill working for the rightwing Sinclair propaganda outlet.

She’s spreading dangerous misinformation.
