Manager reported on raids by Thailand technology police at storage depots in Khon Kaen and Chiang Rai.

A total of around 2,000 illegal guns were seized and one million rounds of ammunition.

The raids followed a sting conducted by the police after guns were advertised for sale online.

Suspects in the case said they were making 300,000 baht a month selling the guns nationwide online and to customers in Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia.

Three places in Khon Kaen were raided and two in Chiang Rai.

Sites where the guns were sold included bbairgun.wordpress.com, Phak Korn Bao Bao on Facebook and Airgun Rifle on YouTube.

Reviews were done on those sites that led investigators to suspects behind the business.

BB guns and air rifles illegal now  whatever next ?

Shoot! One million BBs would make a lot of weights for fishing lines.

Unfortunately now in completely the wrong hands ????

Usually they state War Weapons if serious. These are just play guns. Had my first air rifle at 9.

I know some/many airsoft items  can look the part but what is shown in the  picture does look remarkably like the real thing.

Airguns are not actually illegal in Thailand as far as I know.

I think they are saying that they were being sold via a couple of BB gun outlets.

BB guns can still be purchased.

The guns in the pictures look like war weapons to me. Unless air rifles are modelled on automatic rifles....

If you look at all the pics in the Manager report you'll see a box with the name Benjamin on it, a quick Google shows them to be a supplier/manufacturer of air rifles, so as the pics are also missing real ammuniti6 one can safely assume that these are air rifles/pistols and not 5.56 or 7.62 or even 9mm weapons ????????

The guy in the picture is not holding a BB gun.

It is the real McCoy

Igneous and metamorphic rock..maybe the slightly softer sedimentary rocks put on a "watch list"  only to be used by approved persons.????

They were selling Gamo air rifles
you can see the Gamo boxes
you can also view the cached website
the model you are referring to is similar to a Gamo G-Force

They were likely just unlicensed (if any required) unregistered shop/company not paying tax etc
probably didnt matter what they were selling, just they were making money,
although "guns" makes the headlines better

So where's the photos of the million rounds of ammunition then ?? Real ammo would have plastered all over the report.
