I need to go to the airport on 21.08 because I have to fly home unexpectedly.
Do I need any kind of "registration or permit" for me or the driver (family)?

I would be surprised if you needed anything.... many are traveling to Bangkok and never being stopped. Have a copy of your flight booking .

Parking your car at the airport going to cost you , don't know how long you gone but maybe better just to take a cab . Just saying ,don't know if you need any paperwork but others answerd that already ????

I drove from Rayong to Chaengwattana last week without stopping (okay I have an M-Pass) but, literally, my first stop was a parking spot outside immigration.

No road blocks. No checkpoints and the expressways were empty.

Sitting in Swampy right now, just arrived by private car.  A good friend of ours drove us from Na Jomtien to here, no need for any permits or anything, certainly no checkpoints.  Just drive there.

Trucking news here makes it sound like the country is completely locked down...   It is decidedly NOT.

I stayed in a Phayao hotel last week and there were 15 Bangkok  registered cars in the car park the next morning. There is no control of cars  moving between provinces.

I've done a number of trips to the airport on Hwy 7, no sign up no checking!  Many friends have driven into Bangkok on Hwy 7, for their vaccine no sign up no checking!

Bangkok plates are literally meaningless.  My girlfriend is from Rayong, works there, has a house there etc...   Have Bangkok plates on her car.    I have one car with Chonburi plates and another with Rayong plates.
