Popular Post Andrew Dwyer
Daniel by Elton John My brother was a huge Elton fan and when he died in 1981 , aged 22, my parents used to play his albums . My mother said she felt like he was back in the family home. Whenever Daniel would start to play my mother, and father, would always shed a few tears. It’s a mixture of the lyrics, my brothers memory and the memory of my parents struggling to hold back their emotions every time they heard this brings a tear to my eyes. 4 1
Bert got kinky
Johhny & June singing Jackson. Seen them perform it live in Berlin and it breaks me up every time I hear it knowing that I will never see them performing it live again.
nikmar
So, this thread got me thinking a bit about music from my past and I remembered this band. Not everyone's cup of tea, granted, but I had some dark night listening songs like these two and these songs in particular. Nights that basically convinced me that better times lay elsewhere. There will always be music that will make me stop what im doing and remember good and bad. I recommend these for late nights with a large whiskey.
