How do I overdub a video with a TV theme tune?

I use the filmora software cited above.  However, there is a learning curve.... Maybe Shotcut is quicker to get the hang of it...

About a week ago my son started learning about video editing and he's using VideoPad by nch, made some nice little simple vids so far but there is a learning curve.

Also if you're new to video editing and just want to add some brief music or text to a vid, it's fast and easy to upload if you have a youtube account, simply go to your channel and look for either the "manage videos/create" on a PC, or if using a smartphone look for the "+" at the bottom of the youtube screen and follow the simple instructions to add/edit.  Have fun.

I have a short homemade video of my sons swimming.

I want to overdub the video with the theme tune to Jaws.

How do I do this?

It depends which platform you are using, also where you got the music from and how you want to share it.

you can virtually guarantee a copyright strike on YouTube if you just grab the film soundtrack and try to share it there.

I use LumaFusion and LumaTouch on my phone and tablet, there are many guides available.

here are 3 examples from a very simple one to a longer one that got effects transitions speed changes and a few other bits.
