I am travelling to Bangkok from Pattaya,  are there any checkpoints at all ?

 

Anyone else travelling to Bangkok any issues ?

We travelled from Pattaya to Bangkok on Monday of this week, no checkpoints seen anywhere.

None 

It depends what route you take and what time you are traveling.

 

There is a checkpoint just after the exit from the overhead expressway entering Chonburi/the Chonburi bypass.

 

I’ve also seen evidence of police check points on roads exiting Pattaya when I’ve been driving out of town at around 5am.

 

However on the motorway route Pattaya to Bangkok and return I’ve not seen any road check points during 6 return trips I’ve made over the past 4 weeks.
