Tacit permission from the police? Right. Another money maker for them.

Tonight in Bangla Road all bars but one were closed and police post in Beach Road, in front of Bangla Road, was manned.

 

Yesterday this street was alive, with food stalls serving bars customers and girls, street musicians, beggars, lots of tourists walking, flowers sellers, trinkets stalls, exchange offices and even a tourists office selling tickets to the islands.

 

Today everything is closed and nobody in the dark street.

 

When they close bars many businesses also close.
