Sanook reported that Dr Suphakij Sirilak, director of the Department of Medical Sciences and other senior health officials appeared on Facebook Live to talk about new strains of Covid-19 in Thailand.

 

Suphakit said that testing for new strains was a continuing process but there were none.

 

They are all Delta, Alpha and Beta at the moment; Delta accounted for 97.5%, Alpha 2.2% and Beta 0.3%.

 

It was also stated during the broadcast that online rumors that mRNA vaccines were radioactive were untrue.

 

Tests were done on every batch and if any irregularities were found the whole batch would be discarded. 

 

Presence of "nanoparticles" were within US and EU parameters, it was stated.

Yes, well I am ambivalent about that. France is in a better situation than the UK now wrt the  Energy crisis because they committed to nuclear power. In fact the UK buys power from France. As  a Brit, being dependent on France for anything, grieves me.

Most radioactive things do NOT glow in the dark . 1 of the many many fake things around . Idc what you believe in , but i am 100% sure there are no radioactive components whatsoever in any kind of vaccine , not for covid , not for polio , not for flu , not for any of them .

There always has been new strains and allways will be. some worse than others but over the centuries 99% of them are  beat by your normal human immune system. No way will i take some untested experimental drug. Over 8 decades i have survived swine flu, bird flu ,equine  flue bat flu dengue fever and three marriages .I suspect I have survived many more virus attacks it;s just no one named them.

Good grief. What more absolute <deleted> will some people come up with against vaccination against the corona virus?

 

I always thought I would continue to support the fact that people can have differing opinions, but this anti vax continued traducing of the currently available and approved vaccines is really testing my patience.

Some of the stuff they spout is so plausib!e, that to uneducated and lesser educated people, and those of a more gullible nature believe it. I suppose it's about trust, or lack thereof, in the authorities.

I read an article the other day, that some chiropractors in the US are peddling anti vax info and selling snakeoil, or it's current equivalent...Educated people, you would have thought. Educated enough to try to make fast buck out of a pandemic. I have also read articles that some health care professionals are anti vax. They have an axe to grind? I have no idea. I haven't seen any of them selling snakeoil...yet.

 

I am rapidly approaching the opinion that these people should be forced to work on the front line, without PPE, as they seem not to be concerned about the virus. Made to watch people struggle to breathe, struggle to live. I wish I could articulate what was really on my mind, but I would be castigated and banned from here. But there is a poem by Shatterdprince, the title of which sums up my thoughts about anti vaxxers generally.

Actually, there is a very very weak element of truth...  Everything in the world is radioactive. 

We are, a cup of coffee is....  anything we touch, consume and look at is radioactive to a degree. 

 

Bananas are radioactive at roughly 0.1 microsieverts of ionizing radiation.

 

Brazil nuts contain radiation, about 1000x more than Bananas.... 

 

But.... we’d have to consume about 2 million KG’s of Brazil nuts to receive a lethal dose !!

 

 

Thus: While factually correct, Vaccines do contain radiation, but at levels so insignificant they are not worth discussion. 

 

Someone has perhaps got hold of this information and like cat-nip to an anti-vaxxer, they selectively repeated the information without any understanding, this of course has been repeated by idiots - thats social media for us !!!

 

The most microscopic shred of potentially negative fact exaggerated beyond common sense to generate hysteria amongst utter fools !!!

Its fortunate then that nobody is asking you to take an ' untested , experimental drug ' , but you know that anyway.

If however you are refering to covid vaccines , nobody is forcing them on you either , nobody is even insisting you educate yourself re the vaccines .

Your choice though , not everybody likes to travel I suppose.

I think this was the gist of a previous post. The intent being to slow things down before they ran out of supplies of mRNA. Easier to deflect answers about uptake than those asked about supply.

A lot of claptrap about the Covid vaccines. They are not "radioactive" beyond normal background levels.

They also, with over five BILLION doses administered, and normal US FDA trials, et alia, are not "experimental", "untested", etc. Just plain old ignorance to suggest such.

As an early benficiary of the Salk polio vaccine I can authoritatively say, IMO, the antivax crowd are a bunch of hysterical numpties.
