MAKRO is a good example - facemask, hand cleansing and body temperature YES, code scanning NO (and no registration book either!).

(notice smily emoticon meaning that it is said in jest but remember what they about many things said in jest) First off your an antivaxxer and you were wrong about the big data as i have proven by showing that in the EU the rules are quite strict and protect us from big data. So ill keep saying your a tinfoil hat person in my book. So its not so strange your against vaccine passports. I would not call it a conspiracy that Thailand wants to track you for covid reasons its exactly why they want you to have a smartphone. And in this case your right the data goes to the government. This is not the case with cashless transactions at least NOT in Thailand and Europe and the US. There is also no proof that his is happening if any in Europe big tech needs to inform you more and more about what data they collect and need to make it clear and have rules for opting out. So at least for Europe your theory is stupid. Actually smartphone is a great tracking device.. i love it for google maps. I also love it for shopping and so on. Love it for internet banking. Its a great device.

Regards Worgeordie wordiegeorgy, can tell i tell you a secret, your wife can watch those things also on tv. There are even people who watch sports on TV (not me) and seem to like it. Not sure why one would look down on what other people view. I find watching sports mindless (i find a debate about tv or movies as unproductive as one about what foods taste good its all personal) How you use your phone is up to you i love to kill time with it when i have to wait or to have it guide me to where i need to go on the bike or car. I love it that it helps me pay things. I like reading the forum if i have to wait for something i take my phone. I do agree that some people are not really sociable but that is not a phone problem but a person problem. I don't see it much with the people im around now. They use their phones also when others are there but not overly. You wont see me walking and looking at my phone at the same time..far too dangerous.

Your already being tracked if you have the phone. I would not be surprised if they would use it too if you murdered someone to prove where you were. I doubt that they won't use it if the need arises. Its the same with a non smart phone they can be traced too. Personally I don't worry too much about it unless i kill someone that is. Popular Post jingjai9
I imagine years ago people reacted to social security numbers much the same as some people react to the use of smart phones today. I think Steve Jobs knew people would sacrifice their privacy and even their dignity for convenience. It is a shame that we are in essence being forced to possess a device that enables government and business to track us or keep a digital fingerprint of what we do. This issue of a surveillance state was further illustrated in recent weeks by the FACEBOOK PAPERS. Critics are alleging that Facebook instigated conflict and division with their algorithms by directing people to groups they believed would suit their interests and in this process capitalized on the verbal wars and bullying that followed on the Facebook platform. This helped serve the purpose of keeping more users on line for long periods of time thus increasing advertising revenues. This is underscored when critics say Facebook put profits over public welfare and safety. The Internet has, to a dangerously large degree, been commandeered by Big Tech whose most effective weapon is their user agreements where you are forced to bow down and voluntarily forfeit some of your rights to privacy in order to use their app. Because Facebook, Google, Amazon and a few others have been allowed to grow so large, if you do not agree to their terms, your online life is somewhat limited. Although I have a smartphone I have never connected it to the Internet. I use if for calls and I love the alarm. I think the smart phone is perhaps the greatest invention of the last 100 years, but its control is in the wrong hands. There is no democracy with Big Tech. To me BIG TECH is big brother and governments are the maturing pups when it comes to utilizing the Internet. We can have privacy and smart phones, but those in power do not want it that way so we have to be good peons and follow what the powers that be dictate. Faces like Bezos, Gates, Musk, Zuckerberg appear to be rising to the status of feudal lords and the platforms are their fiefdoms. Please don't jump the gun and blame old people for not using smartphones. It may be they have the ability to use them but don't want to be bombarded with technology and useless information. 2 2

Ok you lost me a bit, the things your mentioning have nothing to do with the government. So how would government tracking have any impact on the situations you mentioned. Would the Thai government care if you are gay ?, Would the Thai government care if you go to a massage parlour ? The few days of book work maybe (if you were working here). I used my real name on this forum. Point being the stuff your talking about has nothing to do with government tracking. (except maybe the working off books) Sorry but you really got some strange thought processes in your ind to think the government would be interested in those things. Could you come up with some realistic examples of what the government would like to know ? All that you mentioned are mainly things government don't care about.
