Large crowds gathered at the reenactment of an attempted murder in a banana plantation in the Muang Kaen sub-district of Mae Taeng, Chiang Mai in northern Thailand yesterday, reported Daily News

Somporn, 63, had been furious with his neighbor Sak Tongleuang, 51, for months because of the smell coming from rotting bananas at his plantation that is adjacent to his house.

So while Sak was watering his fruit Somporn took aim and shot him in the chest on Tuesday injuring him seriously.

Somporn faces attempted murder and weapons' violation charges filed by the Mae Taeng police.

I was under the impression the victim had to file charges, going on other stories I've read here in the past

How many murder victims have you heard filing charges after the event?

 What's wrong with this picture?

"...reenactment of an attempted murder in a banana plantation ... "

Looks like a bamboo grove to me.

And just think, there were less violent alternatives:

EM for odor control

Organic Totto - Our Products

Or banana fritters?

It's normally the family that have to jivy the cops along, but in this case seriously injured, is not dead.
