Two Nigerians and three Thais have been arrested in Bangkok, allegedly possessing cocaine worth more than a million baht.

The Thai Crime Suppression Division Police reports they have arrested five drugs suspects who are:

1. Mr. Daniel (Tony), 40, a Nigerian national has been arrested at a parking area of a department store in North Phra Khanong, Wattana with 41.1 grams of cocaine.

2. Alfred (Charlie), 38, a Nigerian national has been arrested in front of a convenience store in Soi Pridi Banomyong 14 in North Phra Khanong, Wattana with 340.14 grams of cocaine.

3. Mr. Gabrial (Joe), 37, a Nigerian national has been arrested in front of a convenience store in Soi Pridi Banomyong 14 in North Phra Khanong, Wattana with 6 grams of cocaine.

4. Ms. Kanyarat (O), 34, a Thai national has been arrested at a restaurant in a department store in Thong Lor, Wattana with 17.4 grams of Cociane.

5. Mr. Ausadawut, 25, a Thai national has been arrested at a restaurant in a department store in Thong Lor, Wattana with 65 grams of Cocaine.

The CSD Police said these Nigerian suspects smuggled drugs when they entered Thailand with the goal of setting up complex drug-smuggling networks in the country. They allegedly sold the drugs to affluent and famous people.

Is Tony, Charlie and Joe the Nigerian equivalent of Tom, Dick and Harry?

And for the headline writer, it's three Nigerians and two Thais.

Where's the photo of the BIB standing around the stash pointing?

I suspect that when they test the coke, it will likely be talcum powder worth 1 baht instead of 1 million.

Poor Mr Joe with 6 Grams of cocaine? Nabbed a major dealer there. I guess they are 'keeping us safe' as the Americans, that's all I'm worried about.

my guess is omicron will put a dent in this trade.

Poor Mr Joe with 6 Grams of cocaine?....he had just scored and was on his way to party.

Can't understand why the Africans don't stop this.
They stick out like nobody else and most are suspicious.

I wonder if the Nigerians will go on the blacklist?

Really is time to ban any visas from Nigeria for the next 5 years. Every week there is a negative Nigerian story on here. They appear to create more trouble than they are worth and the income to thailand from nigerian tourists is minimal.

We all read stories of bad Englishmen. French, yanks, aussies even russians  but those stories are not one a flaming week !

As for the thais involved with them, threaten to send them to nigeria for a few years and they would never get involved with them

They know nothing else.  The question is why there isn't a blanket ban on them unless they can prove legitimate sources of income.

Like any other country, Nigeria also has its fair share of bad eggs. They account for 20% of Africa's population. Its also common for any other central or west african to be painted nigerian when caught for any mischief.

When we talk about banning visas for Nigerians;

Lets not forget the investments western corporates have in Nigeria, Chevron- Texaco, Exxon-Mobil, Total, Shell, BP, Schlumberger, Sinopec, Cnoc, Saipem, Sheraton, Hilton, Accor, followed by mid sized businesses.

Hundreds of thousands of Caucasians, and Asians happily work in Nigeria and those who lost their opportunity would happily go back for the right employer.

Which country represents one of the largest immigrant population in London? Lets be cautious when making such blanket suggestions.
