Premeditated manslaughter ?

I had to say something to that comment .

Never heard of the term before in reading about murder cases for too many years

Manslaughter can not be premeditated . Only murder can be premeditated

What?! a (if ever convicted) murder will lose his job? In Thailand? How unfair!

  • "will" lose his job?   What about his superiors, who were responsible for managing him? Those who recommended him for his promotions? And those he paid for his "elephant ticket"?

I did not know that the trial had been held!

Only the one for the deceased.

Such a shocking statement! So someone who is a cop and tortured and murdered someone is going to lose his job? Who’d have thunk it?

Ah ha ha ha.  No kidding?

why say alleged when it is all on video?

Because until convicted by a court it has to be 'alleged' even if there is incontrovertible evidence, that is the rule of law. i.e. innocent until proven guilty (unless you are in France where the law requires you to prove your innocence i.e. guilty until proven innocent).

Furthermore, i understood that if found guilty on the murder charge, he would receive the death penalty.

Surely would save the accommodation and feeding costs

As far as i know Thailand only executed 3 persons the last 18 years, so if he is found guilty he will most likely not get the jab.

I just don't believe he is still employed, TIT.

After all they will be facing a long period in jail, noted the chief.

Ah so that's the reason for sacking him, not because he committed murder, Jeez !

They never take responsibility for anything, ever.

Them were the days when they used a firing squad

I am surprised that all people involved are still being paid by the RTP., especially

after seeing the video, and the actions of the people visible in the video.

The parents are already doing that, it was reported some time ago.

No one said "premeditated manslaughter".   You don't know the significance of full stops and paragraphs?...

Reckless for sure but difficult to prove the state of mind for premeditated.

Manslaughter would be a safer bet

the super rich cop with super cars who allegedly tortured and murdered a drug suspect in custody - will lose his job.

He doesn't need a job; he can retire now.
