This country must be eternally grateful for experts like Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn; he contributes on a daily basis to entertainment of the finest order. 

What do these people really think - if at all? If you don't know the job then have a look how experts in other countries are filling empty hotels, restaurants, pubs, beaches, tour buses etc.

So it's yet another additional site,  not a replacement for the semi-broken Thailand Pass. That's a shame, adding more complexity to what is already too complex for most casual visitors.

However I have said that the nightmare of getting back in here far outweighs the joy of getting out for a week.

I hope the 3 of us are still alive and can see each other easily sometime soon ,while waiting for Thailand to come to it's senses.

As I read today accord to minister ANutin, - to enjoy the festivities - that will be only one day. At 1am 1.1.2022 everybody should go to bed. Great advertising for festivities.

And, as far as I know, I'm required to spend at least 21 days in the states to satisfy some damned requirement (though I'm easily and often confused). I love my family but 21 days of them? That's stretching things.

This carry is just another level of confusion, constant change is not going to give travelers the confidence to book, it might differ again by next month COE, Thailand pass and now this.

hmmm . . . did you ever wonder what happens to those millions of little white cards (TM6) that people have to fill in when they enter Thailand? Are they neatly filed away in some vast and special Thai card index somewhere, fiercely guarded my immigration stormtroopers? Are they carefully entered into a national computer database for reference, or logged into a custom-made special government app (which never works)?

Next time you fly take a look in the bin under the airport immigration counter.

From 40 million in 2019 down to around 400K this year. This corresponds to a decrease of minus 99%. So much for the competence of the tourism strategists in this country.

Most of those are unavailable or impractical for actual tourists (i.e., people here on holiday for two weeks, not those who spend 11 months of every year here with a house and local family). Contactless bank cards are fine, but most merchants other than the very largest either don't have terminals that support tap-and-go, or don't realize that they do.

This new website is not being developed or run by immigration.

If you're talking about traveling from Thailand to the US and back again, there's no minimum time you need to spend there - your time in Thailand prior to the trip counts as part of the 21 days.

 

"If I am travelling out of Thailand to stay in listed countries / territories for the duration of less than 21 days, am I eligible for the Test and Go scheme?

 

- Yes. However, please make sure that you do not stay in non-listed countries / territories during your travel after leaving and before re-entering Thailand (except for Transit purpose); otherwise you will be ineligible for the Test and Go scheme."

If you look at the data and measures of the last time, you can come to the conclusion that the tourism sector is being deliberately dismantled by the current rulers and that foreign visitors (aliens) are actually not wanted in Thailand.

Wasn't aware of this but the problem of getting elderly expat insurance, now and in the future, would be a reason i would advise people to keep a bolt hole in their home country.

Or don't retire to Thailand in the first place. There are many other options.
