I have been a bad boy. It's karma.

Being bad is relative.

And owing to the fact that we exist in a continuum, the future may have already happened. In which case, it is possible you are paying for your sins to come, and not for those transgressions you made in the past!

It's nice to be old enough to actually have the chronological cred. to reply to this question lol ????

Not being dead (I should by all reckoning be dead)

having some money

Being healthy (despite the torture I put my body through as a younger man)

To enjoy not working

To relish a woman

Food

Cooking

Trying out new recipes in my beautiful kitchen (and feeding others)

Making a cake and giving it to friends

To still be very curious

To know how to surf the web and learn so much in such an instant wayTo not polTo laugh at myself and with others

To play golf (glorious walk)

Sex

To walk away from things that I now can see have little to no importance in the big picture of life

To refuse to be silent where misogyny, sexism, racism is concerned

To give some of my money to less fortunates

To invite friends for a d.mn good Aussie style BBQ

To do my little bit of charity work

See, immerse in  and take in nature

To grow and harvest our veggie and fruit

To dance

To share time and give of my time to others

To listen

Yoga

To play loud music

To dive into my own glorious swimming pool

Our darling spotty Dalmatians

To go and eat n drink with my few buddies

To enjoy our beautiful new home and garden

To be in the moment and savour the moments

Staying fit

Move more slowly e.g. drive with patience and not need to rush anymore

To sail and remember my days with my dad doing the same thing.

To wash and polish my cars and feel the gratitude for having such beautiful temporal gifts.

To ride my cute Vespa down the road to the glorious beach and swim

To sleep when I want to

To compliment and praise my love

Travel

shopping (even dig c is fun lol ????)

To know (just a little more) what I want, need, and the opposites of them

To not apologise for enjoying myself to those who are crankier than me  lol ????????

I looked forward to retirement because I never had enough time to do some things, neither was there enough time to spend longer days doing the things I loved.

I have and am achieving that each day.

my real education started at Retirement. Thanks to You Tube I was able to learn more about Hinduism and it’s way of life. I learnt about Yogic Science after my disillusionment with medical science over 50 years ( not to say that medical science has hugely contributed to a better quality of life). But hasn’t all the answers. Learnt more about Inner Engineering and how to value each day.

cooking, recipes that I love to try out, and learning about being vegan. Markets, shopping malls and dining out. Expensive but good quality beer and wine! Admiring Thai women daily, everywhere you go!

flirting specialist. More massages for the aching bones!
daily news, sports, catching up with distant family and friends via social Media. Cricket and football I can now watch 24 hours! Plenty time to sleep when you’re dead!

also do some Life- Coaching, cricket Umpiring, gardening.  And some days nothing, just go with the wife to a nice restaurant in the rice fields.

Living in the present, “ what is right now is already set, it cannot be  any other way “…. Sadhguru…..” all the rules are my rules “.

Obviously Covid 19 -- didn't get you , so TPTB will figure out something more sinister to take you out and save money ( pension payments )

another virus ?  or hire Brother Somchai the " executor " to throw you off the 6th floor balcony ?  just went to see the Fortune Teller , .....

I will live until my 153th birthday .... beat you by a mile ......

Well, first off would be waking up.  Then checking to make sure all of my body parts are working.  If my brain works that's a plus too.

After that......more trekking in Nepal and northern India.  Ride my bicycle across the USA (west to east) from the Pacific ocean to the Atlantic ocean.  Travel to eastern Europe and also some of the southern countries such as Armenia, Georgia, etc.

That's a start for now.

I've been dreading it.  They're probably going to kill off Kim, and Jimmy will bear the guilt of corrupting her.

On the other hand Lalo was not in BB, so they'll get rid of him.  And Nacho.

I haven't watched any of Better Call Saul.  It's on my to do list.  I hope it is as good as Breaking Bad but not sure it can live up to that.

WORK

Forced retirement due to covid
I'd love to go back to work, covid is killing me.

I work abroad on a 28/28 day rotation, it's the best life for me.
I have family here but too much of a good thing, I need to go back to work.

I was hoping to be back at work in the new year but now we have a new variant (Omicron) which means longer quarantine, it's all gone pear shaped.

Quarantine, it's not an option, I get 4 weeks off work to spend 1or 2 weeks in quarantine plus all the necessary paperwork, nope.

Thailand has been my home for over 20 years but I like to have a break now and again, now my liver is even complaining.

Covid 19 has not struck yet thankfully . However the pandemic has increased my longevity due to the closing of all bars .

We have a new variation of covid 19 recently that is extremely contagious yet has the possibility of joining the Spanish flue .

If you are British and manage to live until you are 153 your pension will be worthless  even at 100 . No need to hire the executioner

Thankfully my pension is increased with inflation .

Australia owes some pension to me also but I am unable to collect because Thailand is not a country that Australia has a social agreement with . Oh but if I live there for 2 years then they will pay up . Draconian rules to say the least . Any others  being robbed by the Australian government ?

There needs to be a class action to bring the Australian Government to   cough up .

I was a part timer same as you for a good 11 yrs, retired just before covid. Anyway just spent 2 yrs solid here in Thailand. As you I was getting restless, recently left Thailand for a month. Couldn't wait to return to Thailand. In the US things just seemed different, tent cities everywhere, traffic was worse and seemed to move much faster, price of gas was horrendous, crappy motels were $100. minimum with weekend rates $150. was normal for a lower end room, fast food joints couldn't have seated dining because they couldn't find workers. As I returned to my somewhat boring (simple)  life in Thailand I give thanks.

Yea I hear you, things can get a bit complicated in the US, the thing about the US is that it all depends where you are. I have never seen a tent city when I was in the US, I am not saying that they don't exist , but they are certainly not everywhere.

My family is spread out around the world ,with having a sister living in Italy and brother living in Greece for a long time, me and my other sister live in the US Florida, and now Thailand , and uncles and aunts that live in Australia. We were forced to leave Greece during the military's  coup late sixties ( I was a toddler at the time.) and many of us did not return, but we all remained close and would visit each other every year.  From the timeline you can conclude that we are all getting up in age , me being the second youngest.

With covid travel restrictions, I have not seen many of them for about four years, and since many of us don't have many years left I am getting a bit stressed about it .  For the most part I don't mind Thailand. like any other place in the world there is good and there is bad, but when you are stressed all the petty annoyances become a bit amplified. Like you , for me a trip abroad  to reaffirm that  the grass is only a different shade of green elsewhere is what the doctor ordered.

I was a big Breaking Bad fan, I'd say BCS is as good if not better.

Mine is much the same as above, but Mine is *Tecno* looks like they've come down in price a lot i paid about 6k 3yrs ago the reason i chose mine it has a fan, not sure that one shown has one.  It is big enough to fit a Turkey inside, but now they unfortunately come pre-cooked.

My Otto has a fan and a spit, not sure I'll ever use the spit, but the fan I put on for everything.

I'm completely happy with it.

No more work, affordable beer, affordable food, affordable accommodation, affordable entertainment, money in my  pocket, a roof over my head, some good friends. A few negatives to be true, but I am here because it suits me more than anywhere else would. One day it could all go tits up, if it does I'll deal with it.
