lets take an einstein like leap into the dark. the indian variant is dangerous it kills in relatively small nos, agreed?so why let it spread?why not do what other countrys are doing to stop it spreading and killing?stop people spreading.wow wasnt that so difficult, tell em to stay home this New year halfwits.as for omnicron, hopefully itll be the dominant strain soon, once it is by all means open up.it doesnt kill unless u r having some other really serious problems and herd immunity will be reached real quick with minimal loss of life IE a songkran car death fest week.then we can all get on with life again ,of course if u r frightened of omnicron continue to stay at home and pamper up .this has gone on long enough now.lets see off delta sensibly then cut to the chase

First of all you need to learn how to write properly…..

Perhaps it would be better to cancel people from commuting during the New Year-period, i.e. using the experience from Songkran...:whistling:

Obvious, just ban all the buses out of cities/ towns. Road blocks. It’s not as if New Year is a Thai holiday, just like Christmas. Could save a lot of pain in a few weeks time!!!

COVD will do what it does and we will do what we do.  Being upset by it is irrelevant.

Let the cards fall where they may.  IT's not just Thailand that will see this but be thankful it's just omicron.

I am losing no sleep at all over this.  Concerned, but there is nothing that I can do.  Everything seems to point that by and large we will be just fine.

Here we go again, thought the Government may have learned something from the  LAST EXODUS

Obviously brain dead

The last exodus in April 2021 caused the Delta spike which has not dropped to below 200 daily cases before April.

This time it might be the Omicron spike.

Well actually it is, quite a big one, like Songkran.

Seems like it's too late for debate about an "exodus" from Bangkok judging by the steady stream of high speed traffic here in the northeast  !

Considering the evidence that the detected Delta incidence is still double that of Omicron is anyone willing to bet on outcome ?

The virus is here, been here for about 2 yrs, get over it.  Will be here for .... well, forever apparently, it's a virus.  In a few years, they may even start to call it a seasonal flu, once done milking it for all they can.

People have to live.  Or do people expect them to stay locked down in their homes for the next 5 - 10 - 20 yrs.

It took longer than expected, but gradually we're seeing more and more people tuning Covid out. Anecdotal, but this seems to be a trend all over the world.

Sooner or later enough people are going to stop responding to "tHe hEaltHcArE sYsTeM iS goINg tO bE oVeRwHeLmeD" and "tHinK aBouT oThErS" that there just won't be any political will for more restrictions.

We'll probably have to queue up to get our annual booster, but I imagine the restrictions on travel and day to day life will gradually be relaxed for good. There's no practical reason that we couldn't drop restrictions immediately, so it just takes a critical mass of people ready to normalize Covid and we can all get on with it. It'll happen.

You wish .... sales plummeting, and it's down to 3 months already.  Wouldn't be surprised if they start recommending monthly shots ... ????

I agree and it's pretty easy to tune COVID out because this variant is, quite literally, a bloody cold unless you have some serious serious problems or aren't vaccinated.  All allegations by myself of course except for "it's not serious".  It isn't serious.  The symptoms are over quick and are, quite frankly, ridiculous.

It's appalling some how fear monger because they just don't understand how benign this virus is.  If you're scared stay home.  IT's ok to be worried and that's your choice to do so.
