Krabi is quiet but...

Btw my "down there" has been dead for a long time.

I'm holier than a monk now.

One clue is that before you posted this thread, the last comment on a previous thread was over 1 month old. Wow! No, I do not live there. However, I've watched a couple of fresh videos. Looks like a bit of evening life along the beach road. Hmmm, don't know if I can link a YT video, which was posted Jan. 6,  but here it goes:

I thought it was click-bait too. Lol

I thought for a moment, you were an alien on a distant solar system, radioing in, and asking about life on earth. Was wondering how you found TV.

Its dead.

However its great if you don't mind a little solitude.

Great for couples and perhaps family.

Prices are so cheap and the beaches of Krabi are some of the finest in Asia.

Don't expect a party.

What a disappointing thread. Another minute of my life wasted.

Maybe they are all just too busy with all of the life-living to slow down and post about it......

Amazing, the amount of maskless tourists in this video, not a worry in the world (and compare it with the amount of Thais wearing them).

But of course, those coming to Thailand now for purely 'tourist' reasons are those who think nothing of the risks of travelling during a pandemic.

I wonder, how many of those will fail the PCR test before their flight home, earning themselves a very expensive extra stay in Thailand.

I just spent 2 months in Phuket & have now been in Krabi for the past month - I have decided to stay here for another 2 months.

Many restaurants open & can always find somewhere for a few beers - The beaches are quite & if like me, you are seeking some relaxation & serenity, Krabi right now is perfect.

Ao Nang on New Years Eve was packed & had an amazing night - Head over to Klong Muang beach, its so beautiful.

I have rented a house with a swimming pool & most days, just chill out by the pool. We go to Macro & get the shopping in & cook at home -

Krabi is not for everyone, but im loving it here.

Very few tourist, but unsurprisingly the roads are still clogged up with parked cars and motorcycles. In fact the best way to describe Ao- Nang is that it’s just one large car park.

Arrived 29-01-2022, very low on tourists, during 30 minutes walk I found approx 5 tourists at a time
Seen a lot of Thai/Asian locals at Nopharat Thara Beach on the West of Ao Nang Beach
Was not able to discover the diving centre anymore there though.

Also

had my license for drone (CAAT, NTBC) completed and created this video yesterday, more coming, check my website http://www.rhi.nl ;

Taking in a couple of 7/11 big beers sitting on the Ao Nang beachwall at sunset is heaven.

You need to learn how to smooth out your pan and slow it down.

Too jerky.

We were out & about in Ao Nang the other day & i was very surprised how quite it was, especially as it was Valentines Day - Not many people about at all - Still found somewhere nice to eat & had a lovely evening.

Looks like chef Umberto has his shingle hung at Colors Resort, the old Alisea on the hotel cut through road toward Hat Napparat. Probably not cheap, but if you need a great Italian grind he's the guy.

Used to sell wine to him when he had a restaurant on the seafood row beachfront as well as his own restaurant later. Excellent chef.

I guess it is really really DEAD DEAD in Karbi.......After all......

This thread was still on page #1 and the last post in this thread was in February 2022.......

Thats like 3 and a half YEARS ago now.......

That was like 4 or 5 or 6 girlfriends ago for me......

Was at Ao Nang, Thurs & Fri, and busy enough.   Plenty of people there, all restaurants open, and heaven for those wanting Indian or Halal, as so many to choose from.

Singles, couples & families about.  So plenty of life.
