webfact
Picture: Sanook A distraught Thai mother has gone to the Pratunam Chulalongkorn police in Rangsit north of Bangkok to report her son aged 12 missing since midnight on Saturday. He left on a CBR motorcycle and has not been seen since. She said that she had received a text message that suggested he had been abducted and that if she wanted to see him whole again she needed to pay 12,000 baht. She was told not to tell the police but promptly did just that. She said that she was told that if the ransom was not paid they'd cut off one of his fingers, reported Sanook. The case took another turn when it appeared that the missing boy may be elsewhere as a locator on his mother's phone suggested he might be in Nong Bua Lamphu in the north east. She said he had been wandering about outside their house before he disappeared on a motorcycle. Police investigations continue. Popular Post Berkshire
Interesting. Don't hear too much about kidnappings in Thailand....not for ransom anyways. I'll bet the kid saw a movie (All the Money in the World) and decided he needed some quick cash, so made-up this whole kidnapping story. Should ask the mom if her son had asked for money recently. 5
Popular Post Henryford
On a motorbike at 12 !!!!!!!!! He's likely to lose more than a finger. Edited January 18, 2022 by Henryford
Popular Post worgeordie
Sounds like the boy is looking for some cash, maybe with the help of a mate, would know the mother could only pay 12 K, why let the kid go out at 12.00 in the dark on a motorbike and been only 12 years old.. I think he will be back when he's hungry. regards Worgeordie 6 1

And the police promptly altered the Medial, Sanook reported it as have Aseannow !!! Epic <deleted> with an utter disregard for the safety of the victim..... They’re asking 12,000 baht, I very much doubt they are criminal masterminds !!!! Is the Son ‘in on it’ ???? Spoiled kid, trying to get more money out of his folks ? (just speculation of course). And of course... there is the ‘other issue’ of letting 12 year old go out at midnight and then letting ride a Honda CBR that the parents probably bought him !!!! the mind boggles - its surprising the 12 year old hasn’t already been killed in a motorcycle incident. Captain Monday
Probably hooking up with some older but still underage gang of bike miscreants who probably think he is as rich as John Paul Getty III. 12 year old Thai needs an intervention. On a 250-cc bike soon end up wrapped around a electric pole street racing or drugs.

Near fluent. So your little theory is not correct. I was speaking of kidnapping for ransom. If it's so common, perhaps you can share some recent articles. No mention that it was his motorbike, nor that he was driving it. However, what is a 12 year old doing wandering outside at midnight, poor parenting as usual.

MrJ2U
Sounds like he's in on it with a couple of friends. I'd wait to see if I got a finger in the mail before starting negoting with these miscreants. Sell the motorcycle and pay the ransom with the money received from the sale. It'll teach the little retard not to get kidnapped again.
