Perhaps the first time it went so horribly wrong.

Probably not the first time things went south either, given how accommodating the hospital/morgue/doctors were classifying the death as something other than what it was.

Who knows what the motivation was of the police person who leaked the video? Right and wrong? Or maybe they wanted a bigger slice? Blackmail? Heard a bit about this but not enough to make a judgement.

Evidently the supercar repo business just wasn't enough to pay off his elephant tickets? So he had to  expand? And one of his wives is the bosses daughter so the higher ups knew what was happening, but Joey F. was an "earner".

And another entry into the long, long list of ridiculous Thai excuses.   > "Yes, I pulled a plastic bag over the deceased victim's head, but I didn't tighten it." > "I didn't kill

It’s not environmentally friendly to kill somebody with a plastic bag, Joe!

Thitisan said he used a plastic bag to intimidate the suspect back at the police station but he didn't tie it up too tightly.

Apparently he did.

What next?

I didn't mean to kill my wife your honour, she fell on the knife 17 times?

He admitted using a black plastic bag but not tightening it

The detainee tightened it himself. It's a clear case of suicide. The officers were attempting to rescue him and should be rewarded.

..nothing like giving unsworn testimony to some TV station camera/reporter...geez!

Yeah, you're attributing way too much forethought here. The bag fits, so you must convict.

With a dead dealer disposed of, you do realize the money is still available. Next stop is the business partner, wife, family.

Let me introduce you to my little bag.

bags don't kill people, people kill people

As my dear Grandfather once told me; "Don't believe everything you hear and only half of what you see". Good advice anywhere you are.

I did not do it. I know you saw it on film. But, the film lied. Film often lies. I always tell the truth. Believe me. Do not trust your eyes. Trust me, after all, the police represent nothing but honor and integrity here.

claimed that a video - ...........................................................- was tampered with.

Well I never! The Koh Tao Syndrome?????

Judging by the photo he should be demoted to mere “Joe Isuzu “ nowadays ! That must be some loss of face, having to wear a lowly Isuzu cap.

I reckon he'll be made an example of and get at least 20 years. Although he won't serve 20 years as he'll get time off for good behaviour and royal birthdays. Will serve 5 years.

Plastic bags now need a WARNING label.

"Keep out of reach of children -- and police officers."

Sir, you are responsible for the death of this guy, abuse of power and a whole catalogue of other crimes....I suspect you are also a bully and sadist. Such evil demonstrates how absolute power corrupts absolutely...

Also my recollection is not of a single 'black plastic bag'... but multiple ones.....weasel.

were they all black ones?

why did he not use a diversity of colours?

discrimination?

He/They put the bag over his head to deprive him of oxygen. Whether to scare him or otherwise depriving somebody of oxygen is fatal. I am sure intimidation or torture are both illegal in the Thai Police Force. So by breaking the law of intimidation or torture there is no doubt he/they are culpable of the death of the suspect. The other police officers in the room are all complicit as they took no action to stop the illegal practice.

Your honor!! Plastic bag was self regulated and was AI enabled. It developed self conscious.  I got it from Harry Potter....

Story is changing. They are now saying they were trying to get information on other drug dealers. I the transcript of the video tape, it said they were trying to extort Millions of Bhat out of him. Now that would explain all his multi million cars.

Let's hope the Thai legal system comes through.

It always does, but for which side ?

Like Bill Clinton: “I smoked weed, but I never inhaled”. Yeah, right!

I think his best option is to demand Sue Gray investigates and we must await her report.

Joe Ferrari said he didn't intend to kill anyone.

Well, does the intention or the result count and what do you tell the victim at the latter's funeral? Sorry, it went wrong and you're dead now but I actually only wanted to scare the <deleted> out of you?

The kiddo will talk, question is only for how much and with what kind of exit clause ..........

I thought plastic bags were banned in Thailand.

Could it be that everyone is looking at this the way the wrong way ?

What if there was a slight possibility that Joe was a big time drug dealer in his province, I mean he is in the top job, and extracting money out of this guy could have been all BS, Joe saying that to make the dealer think that they would let him off if he came up with the $'s, only for him to find out his fate eventually, that or Joe went over the top as it appears and couldn't hold his anger back and the died sooner than Joe expected, i.e. before he could actually get the money.

I think the guy was dealing in Joe's turf and when Joe found out, he lost it and killing the dealer would be sending out a clear message to any others, "you dirty little coach roaches want to F with me", then you will be next. Hmm those words sound familiar.

The wheels are already in motion for this guy to serve maximum 5 yrs in prison and then enjoy his freedom.  Higher ups have picked which cars they liked and everything is in order.  Just go through the motions, don’t rat on anybody, and he will be free in no time.

It’s irrelevant whether he intended to kill the victim or whether he tightened the bag or bags around his neck. The clear fact is he killed him. Case closed. Life imprisonment or better yet hang him.

I didnt mean to kill him, I was only trying to torture him!

And none of what you read......

If the Thai legal system doesnt put this guy away then they really are just as corrupt as he is!!!  Lets hope for the sake of the entire country this guy has a fair & honest trial and is sentenced according to his actions and they don't fall for some cock & bull <deleted> about him being framed or whatever!!!

He was trying to extort money from his victim. Nobody seems to have realised that extortion is in itself a crime. Furthermore, a death in the pursuit of a crime increases the criminality.
