January 26, 20224 yr I read that Australia is the only country that still kills the animals on its coat of arms: the kangaroo & the emu, both of which are primarily considered pests and are frequently culled. The current national anthem is absurd. The original lyrics are a total embarrassment to the country today, so there have been several changes through the years removing whole verses and offensive parts. Even in its current shortened form hardly anyone knows the words other than the chorus "Advance Australia fair".
