Narcissist and deluded

What else would you expect from a hiso from one of the richest families in Thailand? These people live in a different reality, because they can do as they please without having to answer to anyone, and they know that all too well. They feel entitled to all that wealth and power, and ‘sharing’ is not a word that occurs in their dictionary. On the contrary, they just want more and more and more, and they don’t give a toss that the majority of the plebs are struggling to get by.

And this guy is destined to become the next PM of Thailand. I see nothing good coming from that.

When looking at facts - i.e. number of deaths with Covid-19 per million - is he actually fairly correct, even some may not appreciate it.

Thailand has 322 deaths per million population as per today.

Lets compare with death per million in some major Western countries...

Canada: 940

France: 2.083

Germany: 1,445

Italy: 2,530

Sweden: 1,648

Switzerland: 1,498

UK: 2,342

USA: 2,868

and the World in average: 756

If tests per million had any significant value, then Denmark would be number one in the World, no other country comes near to the number of Danish's tests with 10,441,550 tests taken per million inhabitants; number two on the list is Italy with only 2,975,910 tests per million. For Denmark that number means that whole population have been tested more than 10 times, yet 10-20 percent of the population have never been near a test-site.

So how well has Denmark then performed during the pandemic in the figure that matters, namely number of deaths per million?
Denmark should be outstanding, if tests has major protection value, but unfortunately the fact is 730 death per million population.

Note that Thailand - number 146 down the list in Covid-tests per million - has only 322 death per million population.

You might want to look at excess deaths in Thailand and how rigourous death certification by a doctor is.

In other words, more creative accounting in the land of zero testing.

Amazing how many people are taken in by these conmen.

Besides the low death count, Thailand doesn't have many of the (internal) restrictions imposed in other countries. Entertainment venues asides, no closing of small business in favor of larger businesses, and instead they helped small businesses with the "50% each" campaign, no vaccine passport, etc... The vaccination campaign started slowly, but there are now 70% of the population vaccinated.

Thailand was one of the best place to be during the pandemic, and without the news on TV or the Internet, I would have barely noticed.

Best in the world in infecting own people at the vaccination site.  Why treat Thai people and foreigners this way?

So good, farang bar owners were feeding the homeless in Pattaya.

While the residents of Isaan get into more and more debt.

No vaccine passport?

Only recently you had to take ATK tests to get into restaurants in Pattaya.

Unbelievable.

If a country has one of the worst percentages of tests per million, wouldn't that make their statistics on COVID related deaths likely to be understated vs countries with high rates of testing and reporting credibility?

Just idle face-saver tat and for domestic consumption. I don’t get as would up by the manchild as I used to. He knows darn well Thailand has, and continues to, handle this very badly but will say anything to try to look good.

Thailand has not performed that bad during the Covid-pandemic, when it comes to health and deaths...????

........and would have performed even better if not for Khun Anutins self indulgent bumblings.

TIT well known corrupt fudgings would surely make their "official" statistics self serving deceit.

I recall being distraught when all the small vendors operating out of our local Big C were forced to close, but Big C itself was allowed to sell the exact same items the small business vendors were not allowed to sell.

And "support" for small business employees and small businesses alike was abominable vs their western contemporaries.

The only thing that Thailand did well was control the spread of the virus in the early days. Once vaccines started to arrive everywhere except Thailand, Thailand fell on its face. To the point that I jetted out of here in April 2021 being frustrated by my inability to get a vaccine, and irate at Thailand blocking private hospital purchases of decent vaccines.

The comments come as his leader - PM Prayuth Chan-ocha - boasted of Thailand's economic prowess insisting that Thailand is better able to handle inflation and the rising cost of living than other countries.

They will likely be subjects of classes at the university level, 100 years from now, entitled "Who was responsible for the collapse of the Thai economy in the 21st century?". Or "How did Thailand drop from 22nd in the world, to 89th in GDP, in 25 short years?".

They will mandate it into the constitution that it will be written into history that they were perfection personified.

Please share your knowledge...

In Australia, the media have been tearing the PM to pieces in the last couple of weeks. Keeping him on his toes.

That sort of questioning doesn’t exist in Thailand

Unfortunately, I don’t believe anything Thai officials say.  It’s in their nature to be dishonest.  Just like them saying democracy leads to a disparity of wealth.  And what about the major disparity here in a military government state???

Anutin:
"A chicken in every pot.  6 pot plants in every garden ("grown like any other Thai herb"), and ***ANUTIN for PM!!!"
