Car in for regular dealer service. Mech says underside showing sign of rust. Well it is 17 years old.  Place in Phuket town can spray but wonder if anywhere nearer Kata home. Thanks

This place could do it, I've had some small paintwork done there in the past.   Off Palai in Chalong.

Land  phone no answer. Do you have mobile.  Pm google map shows at Saiyuan lights opposite 7-11. Think not correct.  Truemove Hill not show.

Underbody and chassis rust treatment on a 17 year-old vehicle by the sea? That's going to be something very specialized. Good luck.

In southern Thai  locals know the hill on Wiset Road  as "kuan truemov" because of the towers on the hill! Going south it's about 400 metres before Vijjit Resort. It's just after White Hart BBQ Buffet.

Treatment I am looking for is Ziebart.  Looks like I need to go the agent in Phuket Town. Although think I'll find a hoist at our friendly repair shop and have a look myself and see if Isuzu mech is giving sound advice or just makin the 500 baht commission from Ziebart agent.  Wife wormed that info out of agent.

No. No salt on roads here. Not have rust yet. Just the factory paint is almost done says dealer mech. Wife take car in Isuzu so I did not see. Have a quick look myself in morning.

My Toyota pickup is just over 18 years old - so I'll be following this thread!

My friendly local repair/paint shop (don't know if they do Ziebart treatment) is Hok Liam garage. They have a hoist - so I may do the same!:

They're located on the NE corner of the traffic lights, 1km north of the circle on the "Bypass Road" - i.e. about 800m north of Villa Market in "Market Village" shopping centre.

That's really a full paint shop. They did a great full body repair spray on my 18 year old 2  seater soft top 15 months ago.

Guy take car my old car is south circle opposite new Shell station. Main dealer no idea with old sports car.

The full nomenclature is "hua kuan truemov" . I used to live there for a few years and that's where all my local deliveries were directed. Mangosteen hump maybe the name opposite across the road. Being one of the highest points in Rawai it was standing room only there during Tsunami false alarms.

Yes, they did both rear side panels on my pickup - excellent job.

That reminds me, there's a guy up my soi with a beautiful old navy blue pickup - I may ask at Hok Liam how much for a complete re-spray.

My old "beige" pickup is very boring.

I think I have a rough idea of where you live. I love the area!
If you can speak thai and get a water delivery from the local thai supplier, ask him!  Or maybe just ask the wife! ????

They all know where to find me, even my wife does sometimes. Maybe because I was living here before true installed those masts there.

I live just south of the "Mangosteen hump".

Yes, it's a very nice and quiet area - food market twice a week, 7/11 on the corner...

I need to go to Phuket Town so infrequently, that I got lost on Monday looking for a car dealership...

Follow up.  Looked underneath. Not so bad, just light surface rust.  But since we plan keep car forever we though worth spending the 4,500 baht on Zeibart treatment. Booked car in for this morning at P2 car wash, 50m past exit from Phuket City Merlin. They did good job clean off and rust with wire brush and air tools. Mask off all upper car and wheels. Full under body spray a foul looking chemical. I expected a black look but it's a bronze look. Car now in for full wash and valet in the price. Fully recommend these people.

First time I have seen the spare wheel since we bought the car.  No air pressure and best we buy a new one.
