Disregarding the ridiculousness of your claim are you telling us Churchill called Hirohito and told him the Pacific Fleet of the US navy was mainly in the Pacific Fleet home base??

Wow, must have blown ole' Hiro's mind!:ninja:

And it's a good thing they were all in the harbor, or a lot more lives and equipment would have been lost.

9 dead and at least 50 injured so far according to reports. Ukraine says International instructors there but not known if any are victims..BBC & AFP

At least 35 dead now, 157 injured.  BBC

When Russia bombed the base near Lviv last night, it had to assume Americans were likely to be killed or injured. A coordinator of foreign volunteers in Ukraine told me the base was a hub for 1000s of them, coming from all over to help Ukraine. I met some from US, UK, Australia.

This is where American and other NATO instructors do the most training of Ukrainians. I was just there yesterday. It’s also right near the Polish border. Serious escalation on Russia’s part.

"In recent days, we have heard absurd claims about chemical and biological weapons laboratories," Stoltenberg was quoted by Welt am Sonntag as saying, adding that the Kremlin was inventing false pretexts to justify what could not be justified.

"Now that these false claims have been made, we must remain vigilant because it is possible that Russia itself could plan chemical weapons operations under this fabrication of lies.

Foreign military instructors worked at the Yavoriv military facility near the Polish border that was hit by a Russian air strike

The only people blaming NATO and the EU are Putin and the useful idiots parroting his propaganda.

As for ‘not hard to see the future’, don’t kid yourself, you have no idea where this is all heading.

Where is it heading then,  I will say Russia is going to flatten Kyiv until the Ukrainian President either steps down or is blown up.

They are mercenaries mate, meaning no fighting under a flag thus no escalation and Putin had given them fair warning previously.

They know the risks.

Yea, time to throw in the towel.  NATO obviously doesn't care and not coming to help.

End it now and save civilians and infrastructure while you can.

Advice for whom exactly?

Just about everyone in Ukraine knows the risks, be that soldiers, volunteers or civilians, does not make it any less tragic or as reported by the Times journalist, "Serious escalation on Russia’s part"

Do you mean Ukraine should give up? It'll never happens. This country had been suffering from Russia from middle ages and it continues now. Ukrainians had better die than capitulate.

Oliver Stone ????

Oliver Stone Asked Vladimir Putin to Be His Daughter’s Godfather

Director Oliver Stone asked Russian president Vladimir Putin to be his daughter's godfather in a recent interview, the transcript of which has been published on the Kremlin's website.

10 Most <deleted> Things We Learned From Oliver Stone

What’s the Russian equivalent of Kool-Aid? Whatever it is, it’s definitely red – and Oliver Stone has eagerly drunk it down. Except for a few moments, Stone seems serenely unconcerned with anything beyond flattering his subject – and engaging in some supremely one-sided exchanges about history and policy along the way.

Oliver Stone on Vladimir Putin: ‘The Russian people have never been better off’

Of course, then he tries to back peddle ????

Russia faces brain drain as thousands flee abroad. According to one estimate by a Russian economist, as many as 200,000 Russians have left their country since the start of the war. And that is probably a conservative estimate, in his opinion.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-60697763

How one little dictator with delusions of grandeur, a bruised ego and a massive inferiority complex managed to destroy the future of millions in just a few weeks.

I know quite a few people from Russia and Ukraine, mostly scientists and technologists. Not a single Russian friend has condoned the war. Most of the people I know that were still in Russia have already left. Many friends that are not in Russia are busy assisting their families getting out of Russia. None of my friends from Ukraine have left.

What is interesting is the take on news and propaganda by my friends and acquaintances from both countries. None of them believe anything official coming out of Russia. However, friends from both countries think that what is coming out of Ukraine is much more believable. They understand that a lot of it is probably propaganda but believe that Ukraine is doing a much better job on this. I've seen a few official Ukraine websites and they look pretty professional.
