Weird with what's going on here sometimes, some here posting  seem to get very emotional over something they can do nothing about.

It's a sad thing that is going on in Ukraine and lots of lip service and sanctions but it's not stopping anything.

This is a ‘discussion forum’.

We discuss stuff here.

Reality is Putin is not insane,he is a straight shooter.

In the west we shoot around corners.

The brainwashing of democracy by the west does not fit all walks of life and never will.

‘Brainwashed’ say.

Well some agreed with you.

Just been watch a live statement by Ukraines Prime Minister on the BBC. He confirmed that weapons and equipment from all corners of the world were reaching Ukraine daily and thanked everyone for the continued support, unfortunately the interpreter who was doing the voice over was getting very emotional, so much of the statement was left without translation other than a few snippets more.

To confirm some of the above the President also spoke with Boris today:

Zelensky has also spoken to UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson this morning - he thanked Johnson for ensuring that defensive aid reached Ukraine and said it had been vital in holding back Russian forces, according to a British readout of the call.

Both leaders agreed on the need for sanctions to go further to exert maximum pressure on Vladimir Putin.

The world needs to send as much aid, both humanitarian and military, its getting through and helping.

All well and good, but for some odd reason Johnson’s government have announced sanctions but delayed their implementation. What Johnson says is not necessarily the truth.

Putin clearly thought it would take two days, he was wrong.

On what basis do you claim two weeks?

Captured Russian plans show they are engaging in a 2 week campaign. Their logistics are based on 2 weeks.

Don’t let the propaganda fool you.

The Russians are experts on encirclement of Kyiv.

The economy is collapsing by the minute, the people of Russia are getting plenty of ‘motivation’ to do something about Putin, particularly the hyper wealthy people of Russia.

Disagree and there you go again with your own crystal ball analysis.

Russian people are being thrown into jail.

Also stupid irresponsible parents sending babies out to protest.

Are you seriously arguing the Russian economy is not collapsing?

I for one am glad I’m to paid in Rubles.

Like I said sanctions do no good Russians are use to it and it will only make them more hostile.

Think about it like Boris does if your mind is capable.

Ad hominem noted.

Ever heard of the S400 missile system one the most advanced systems in the world.

yes, the Ukrainians photograph it from close range with their drones:

In the three above-mentioned battlefields, and in front of Turkish, Israeli and American weapons, the Russian air defence systems failed miserably. Even in Crimea, Ukraine managed to monitor and photograph the Russian S400 air defence system with the Bayraktar drones without the latter being detected. Ukraine which had acquired six of these drones in 2019, later decided to buy more.

Soviet-era air defense systems were shown to be largely ineffective against modern drones like the Bayraktar.

drones could be the answer.

Ukraine could form a drone pilot volunteer corps, maybe made of gamers, have them learn for some  days the controls of Bayraktar and other drones and then use them to strike targets resulting form reconnaissance.

USA should deliver combat drones to Ukraine.

Drones can be cheap, so Ukraine could soon have 250+ drones operating, Bayraktar have 4 antitank missiles each, so 50 of them could already begin the work on that 40 miles column.

Ukraine should order more drones ASAP from everywhere.

If it could be capable of having 200 drones in the air, this could have a real chance to turn the odds.

Appears Ukraine is already deploying drones...from Turkey.

[The star of this video and others circulating on Twitter is the Bayraktar TB2 – a type of Turkish drone that the Ukrainian military has increasingly deployed against Russian forces in recent days. On Tuesday, the Ukrainian military said that Bayraktar drones had destroyed one tank and two surface-to-air missile systems overnight. In other videos shared on Twitter, Bayraktar drones, in use by the military since at least 2021, are shown blowing up what appears to be a Russian fuel convoy and a group of supply trucks.]

About "brainwashing"?  As I mentioned, there are plenty speeches where anybody can consider by himself.

E.g., one I am just seeing, with very long formulated question of a Japanese journo and what is the answer (quite actual to the current situation). Even if few years ago, people commenting also nowadays, quite differently as here, seeing over 10M.

Cant say we did not knew what was coming. And hard to say if the west stayed out of Ukraine, and left it as a buffer zone, it would had or made any difference. I doubt.

If there is any good coming out of this, Finland/Suomi and Sweeden (Switzerland) will join Nato now. It can help the future coming war against China.

I have to give  Putin right about one thing, and thats the west double standard when it comes to moral, and easy to get backed by his own people, because of the west lack of moral in previous wars.

The cowardly withdrawel from Afghanistan did not help at all either, and might have made Putins choice to invade easier.

Interesting.....although $1 million seems a little low.

[A Russian businessman is offering $1 million to any military officer who apprehends Russian President Vladimir Putin "dead or alive" for committing war crimes in his invasion of Ukraine.]

So, are they justified in arresting them? Or are they just using the kids as hostages to blackmail their parents?
