giddyup Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 I have a Sony Bravia Android TV but have found many apps that are supposed to be there, aren't there. A couple of examples are the Tiktok and Firefox apps, but have come across many others that are missing. I know they are supposed to be there because if do a online search and find the app, it refers me to the Playstore. Is this because it's a Thailand version of Playstore?
JaiMaai Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 It's a usually different version of the Play Store for TVs. Different versions of some apps and some apps missing. The apps need to be certified to work on a TV (meaning you can use a remote control). "Most" apps will still work with a mouse if sideloaded. 1
mtls2005 Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 TikTok is obviously in the Playstore. Android mobile phones and TVs usually run different versions. TikTok is more of a mobile phone app, both for creation and viewing. Run the app on your phone and cast it to your TV. Yes, the Playstore can/may geo-restrict apps. 1 hour ago, JaiMaai said: "Most" apps will still work with a mouse if sideloaded. Meh. No. 1
