An elephant has been found dead with a gunshot wound in Kuiburi National Park.

The elephant, which is thought to have been dead for about 5 days, is believed to be between 15 to 20 years old.

Mr. Pichai Watcharawongpaiboon, Director of Conservation Area Administration Office 3, Phetchaburi Branch, said the elephant’s body was discovered by officers from the Kuiburi National Park.

The elephant, which weighs around 3 tons, was found in a creek in the Hub Phueng area.

I am always wondering why the news shows pictures that are blurred of clips with a lot of blurring... If they don't want that the public see things, don't show the pics or clips

yes we all know how Thai people love and respect the elephant.....

At least poor nelly wasn't run down in the road like just about every other living thing????Rip

Right hand side of photo......tell me he isn't pointing to the carcass of a fully grown elephant for the camera.

Poaching and encroachment are the Elephants worst enemies.

I understand that they are afraid if bees - perhaps the DNP should start experimenting with recordings of bee swarms.
