Ayutthaya police captain Kittimasak Udomrat and Ayutthaya Ruamjai rescue services were called to a 7-Eleven store at a PTT gas station at 7 pm on Saturday evening after a man with a 9mm gun attacked his former partner.

It happed in Ban Koh sub-district in Ayutthaya, a central Thailand province.

Suphaporn Khamla-iat, 46, was serving behind the counter. She was hit at least ten times in the chest, arms, legs and torso.

She was taken to Ratchathani Hospital after first aid at the scene.

Evidence of fourteen shots was found at the scene, reported Thai Rath.

A cashier told the media that a man arrived in a Mitsubishi Strada pick-up and walked into the store and started firing at Suphaporn without saying anything.

Other staffers dived for cover thinking it was a robbery. They soon understood that the shooter was the lady's ex lover.

Som, 67, the gas station owner said that CCTV showed that the shooter had a concealed weapon on his back and it was obviously a murder attempt.

He fled following the incident.

Following the shooting the victim was able to speak and identify the man as her ex.

Police are looking for a 51 year old man called Krung.

And, being Thai and unable to think past step 1, they don't realise that by doing what they do they'll lose even more face by being jailed.

Maybe when this guy is caught, he can experience what being shot 10 times feels like.

However, the Thai police seldom use their weapons, so I guess that will never happen.
