I think we have to look at this from two different angles: one is from the legal angle and the other is from the moral angle.

 

From the legal approach it's nobody's business what two consenting people do between themselves. There isn't one country on earth that forbids this.

 

From the moral perspective it becomes very complicated and dependent on many factors. Western countries decided to become secular, i.e. not to be governed by the morals of a religion. So moral became a simple legal matter.

 

In Thailand it is the same, there is no legal or moral law against it.

 

So those who disapprove this, what are they going to do? Rolling their eyes around?

Had women at my job say why do you go over to Thailand , are't we good enough for you? I said, no. The above couple don't seem to care what others think about their age gap ( same as Nick Cage 31 years older than his wife, George Cloney 20 years older and many other US stars with biggg age gaps)  And for you that say you are disgusted seeing a old guy pushing a baby carriage thru a supermarket , why?  My friend in US could never have dated a young enough girl/woman to give him a kid but married a younger Thai woman and has the son he always wanted. His son is now 16 and he has had time to take him all around the US , Mexico  and Thailand  and when he passes his son will remember the good times with his dad and my friend provided his wife with a child, home, security, money, cars and a much better way of life than she would have had in Thailand. (came from poor family) Plus his son has dual citizenship and can live/work in US/Thailand  and will inherit money to start him on his way. Mother will also recieve pension after his death. Win win situation.

I don't know what Thai guys think is ugly. I know what some Thai guys think is pretty or sexy and I wouldn't want any of them.

 

One situation which I will never forget is when I was in an office and someone mentioned something like I should talk to Nit about an issue. I told them sorry I forgot the names, who is Nit? The answer was: She is the darkest girl in this office. I still didn't know because I never cared about their skin color. And when I finally found Nit I didn't think she was much darker then the others.

After that I told that story to my gf and then later other office girls. And they all confirmed to me that every girl in every office knows exactly the order of white to dark in their office. Like if 10 girls work there you can ask them who is the 3rd whitest and they all know. I think that is crazy but it seems like that's the way it is in Thailand.

I think this is the problem with many Western women (I know it's a little cliched to even complain about it), they are encouraged to believe that they don't need to actually do anything and just being them is what they bring to a relationship, while the man must meet a laundry list of requirements.

I speculated on this in another thread.  It could be a subconscious reaction that is something to do with ability to provide and support the woman through childbirth and childrearing.  The reactions we have where we feel disgusted and shame people are often related to behaviour that is bad for the "tribe".  So a lot of behaviour is stigmatised and considered immoral and when people see it they will make judgements and treat the person/people involved negatively.  Another example I thought of is where a woman is very promiscuous and sleeps with many men.  This would lead to a high chance of the women becoming pregnant and the "tribe" being left to care for the baby because the father is not there.  Similarly if an older guy has a baby with a much younger woman, it is possible that she becomes pregnant and then the "tribe" is left looking after the baby again.

 

It's funny, because I don't doubt for a second that women who are quick to say that they should be allowed to behave however they want, would be just as quick to make judgements and shame men for doing something that they disapprove of.  I also imagine that they would try to rationalise it and say that wherever there is an age gap there is always predatory and exploitative behaviour.  But really, women don't like men having options.

Yeah, the super skinny, ghostly pale skin (that looks weird because it's out of a bottle), the braces and the coloured lenses do not seem attractive to me.

Probably the way you were brought up kinda a prude who probably believes old guys 70+ don't or shouldn't be having sex. My wifes gran-pa died 2 weeks ago at 92, he was still messing with women when he was 91.  My father died at 95 was still having sex at 93 living in his own aprartment till he had a stroke and had to be put in a nursing home.  If you workout to stay strong/verile and possibly use viagra and/or Testosterone therapy/suppliments  many guys can still function in later years especially if they have a younger, attractive  GF/wife  and not one that looks and feels/acts like a gran ma.

It's not what he's doing but the way. I think if he was wearing decent clothes and doing something with a bit of dignity instead of trying so hard on camera to say look at me I've still got it and I can keep up with the young ones it might be OK. Not saying older people shouldn't have sex.. with young or old.. whomever is willing to go there.

In end it is all about the experience which youth is insignificant in my opinion.  I realized this in my 50's after sleeping with my first 40+ woman and having an incredible night.  Slept with many women since of all ages but that one night changed me forever.  Finding available attractive older women is nearly impossible which prior to my first experience, I assumed would be easy.

If we are both physically and mentally active and enjoy each other moving through each day and into the night with or without sex, what is that feeling?  I really don't categorize it as lust or love.  It is something that I simply cherish.  It isn't solely a product of her being older, beautiful, funny, or whatever that creates this vibe but something that I really don't understand completely.  I just do the right thing by her every moment I'm with her and the rest seems to take care of itself.
