  • Another inflated/fanciful forecast from TAT....does anyone take them seriously?

I'm wondering if it is part of the job description at TAT to issue optimistic forecasts.

Put out anything downbeat, and you'll be posted to Mae Hong Son to organise the tuk-tuk drivers.

Out of curiosity I calculated the figures, and it's only an estimated 12,000 Baht per person so over 4 days, not a lot really.  Actually sounds feasible -
IF they really get 54,198 visitors!!!

I think the private jets will be lined up at the airport full of wealthy big spending tourists from Mars who are immune to Covid, immune to BS, immune to lies and ready to share their wealth with Thailand????????????????????????????????????????????????

Honestly, I am disgusted by such considerations of 'Baht revenue/profit per visitor'.

Maybe familes returning to lay on dirty beaches but regular young peoplelike a little  nite life  drinking/dancing partying with Thai girls , Full moon Parties on Samui not having bars that are open closing at 11 PM.  Too boring here  now.

No, a tiny Lomprayah catamaran for commute between the island, a Russian oligarch-yacht by Samui looks more like this (it's name is "A")...

And with the unseasonable coolness and rain up here in the North, I have a flower patch along the soi leading to the backyard driveway to weed and replant as well as working some ox-poop into the vegetable garden as I hope for an early Rain Season.  Of course - Maskless - as we are both quite happy leading a hermit lifestyle sans the normal celebration and visitors.

we the same relax and not much on the street

Me thinks they have been growing and smoking their own Ganja.

i was way off - only 25 as of now.

Another "fake news" from TAT

Someone should prosecute them. That's what they would do when a simple citizen invents something.

... or even Vladivostok, apparently an all-year dream destination ... from now on, LOL ...

But hey if your elderly the Government says stay home and away from others

Bt.2914.72 per day per person.

not an unrealistic spend IMHO but I doubt all Thai's would spend it though.

More Lies from TAT.  Rich people are going to do what ?? Stay in their room  or Hotel Lobby? Safer in the Lobby   Rich people don't like Dirty streets, nasty Dogs, scam artist.  Land of Scams!

Rich people will be escorted from their private jets, by-pass the regulations for the commoners, and go directly to a penthouse suite, shopping, and elbow-rubbing sans masks and social distancing with other "Clean" elites.  Well, the elites will be mask-free.  The servants will wear face-diapers to show their proper place in society - at the bottom.

Yes, maybe the runaround that Abramovich keeps on the stern area of Eclipse.
