Siam Rath reported on an accident involving a van that ended up on its roof in the central reservation of the Petchkasem Highway at KM marker 389 +200 in Bang Saphan, Prachuap Khirikhan yesterday.

The grey Toyota had the logo of the Nonthaburi administration.

The accident happened at a bend in the road during a rain storm in slippery conditions.

Driver errer would seem appropriate.

Brake failure is soooo yesterday....

‘Lap nai’ is now the new flavour and will be cited as the cause of most accidents over the next few years.

Their definition of 'bend in the road' and mine appear to be different

The bend is behind?

There is a corner near my place so many cars and motorcycles fall off because it  gets rubber lateks water on it and when rain come too is even not easy to walk on !

Come on the driver is only 45 years old.

So he can’t have experienced, what happens to the road surface when it is rained on after a dry spell often , can he, be fair give the guy a break.

You're probably right @Tubulat. Note that the lamp post has been knocked down 'away from camera' which indicates that was the direction travel before impact.

Give the guy a break? Because why?   How about incorporating road, traffic and weather conditions when driving and then adjust accordingly…

He obviously did not in order to flip a van and made worse in that he was probably hired to drive people from A to B…just another factor in the driving equation which he did not even consider…willful negligence causing injury
