When in use or when being stored. 

 

 

1. what has changed

2. it leaks. Put some newspaper/makro flyer under the fuel line to the carburettor and inspect the next day. Or sprinkle with talcum powder.

2. Fuel in the tank will expand/contract with heat. (Ie weather.) Expansion forces out fumes. As an example modern motorbikes have a charcoal filled ? canister to prevent this.
