77kaoded reported from Ao Luk in Krabi in the south of Thailand where 80 year old grannie Naew was awoken in the middle of the night by something warm next to her mosquito net.

She put on the light thinking it must be the cat but got a shock she won't forget in a hurry.

It was a three meter python.

The snake catcher was called and as shown in a video used a stick, a piece of cloth and his bare hands to catch the snake that had taken up residence behind a piece of the lady's bedroom furniture.

It was bagged and returned to nature,

Grannie Naew said this wasn't the first snake to invade her privacy.

Last year she was confronted by a cobra outside her toilet.

The Immediate Action (I.A.) in Thailand is that when you encounter a snake is to run like hell............................................................................to the nearest lottery vendor.

Lucky it wasn't a Trouser Snake

Some women would have been very dissapointed because it wasn't a trouser snake

Snakes are cold blooded, it was probably  just trying to get warm.

Never understood why so many people are frightened of snakes.

You've obviously never met an angry eastern brown snake up close

Good on yer grannie Naew, I am sure this experience would have given most Aseannow posters a heart attack and they are nowhere near 80 years of age.

Snakes don't bother me much.   However, those little 8 legged critters, those are the ones that give me the heebie jeebies!

Killed nearly 75 of them in the house this past 2 weeks, here in the north eastern part of the Unite States!
