100 villagers pay homage to termite mounds in the shape of breasts

Sanook went to the north east of Thailand after reports that two termite mounds had appeared in a village's holy area to honor grandparents.

 

The mounds were side by side and it was unmistakable what they were.

 

A couple of large lady's breasts topped with pointy nipples. 

 

This was clearly a sign from the nether world.

 

One hundred villagers - armed with joss-sticks, flowers and offerings had gathered for a ceremony conducted by a medium.

This was to divine the lottery numbers for the next draw (July 1st).

 

"It's a miracle", the faithful declared in Moo 13 of Huay Rai sub-district, Lomsak, Phetchabun. 

 

The medium intoned an incantation about phlegm, a bottle of booze and a pill - this helped to determine that the numbers would be 672 and 89.

 

The medium started shaking uncontrollably and Janpheng, 57, the owner of the land, started wailing near the breasts. 

 

Clearly the spirits that had formed the mammaries had now entered her body, or so it was believed. 

 

Janpheng told the press after the ceremony - that apparently put the hair on the back of everyone's neck up - that she saw the mounds a week ago but only realised they were special when the rains came and the nipples formed. 

 

She'd already won the lottery recently herself with other numbers.

I remember a termite mound in the back garden, my missus wouldn't let me touch it saying someone lived in it.

I have never and will never understand this obsession with getting lottery numbers from something obscure, OK then you have the numbers then what ? you can't chose your lottery numbers, go around every vendor (or on line) in a vain attempt to find them.
