Written test for DRIVERS LICENCE….is it the exact same test at 1pm as it is at 10am on same day..?

Featured Replies

Hi….

There are 2 slots for the computer written test at Chiang Mai Transport Dept.

One at 10 am

The other at 1 pm.

Ive been twice on two different days and failed both times.

You get 6 wrong and you fail.

I feel like giving up.

The English in some of the questions is incomprehensible.

I did the test again today at 10am and failed…..and the lady tried to convince me to come back at 1pm and do it again.

I thought it was a random computer thing and that every test would be different.

So I didn’t go back.

Now I’m thinking she may have been trying to help me.

Maybe the test changes every day but on the ONE day…maybe…..the morning 10am test is the same as the 1 pm test…

Can anyone confirm or deny…?

Reaching desperation….appreciate any help. Cheers.

Go online. All the questions are there plus answers. I flunked the test twice before someone turned me on to the website.

I passed first time and I'm bird brained. The only farang there, all the Thais gave me a round of applause.

Interesting to note that I finished my paper long before the Thais. Wondering why, I later found out that the Thai test is longer and harder. Doesn't seem to help with the way they drive!

They need mandatory higher road learning time by a grade of instructor as tough as German/Japanese ones.

Make them drive on the road to pass not these stupid off-road circuits.

Road carnage capital of the world almost....

mikey88, I sent you a private message...check it out before you go retest

When did you do it though…..This test I’m told is NEW…….this year…..50 questions….get more than 5 wrong and you fail.

BKK Post says 95% are failing…..only introduced recently …..I’m told.   Many of the questions make no sense at all….the English is indecipherable….

I finished the test last night just to see what the rumble is about.

Not difficult at all! I past the first test 74 out of 80.

The English is fine but i did not know what a blue sign meant but once i

got that i past 78/80 the second time.

I did find a fault in the traffic signs, the proper answer is marked as wrong.

Not a really big deal this test, try it for yourself.

The post you quote says get more than 5 wrong is a Fail.

If you see someone on a "zebra crossing".

What to do?

1. Speed up.
2. Knock the person over.
3. Stop the car and get your barbecue out.

I learned the person who translated my test from Thai to English is the sign maker next door to the license office:

At my office, the test changes each time you take it.

Apparently, there are numerous ways to translate the Thai into English, so the possibilities are endless, and all wrong.

Yes i know but the test i did has 80 questions, not the real test.

Just a tip I used, when you look at these questions and answers online, read the question and just look at the highlighted answer, ignore reading the three wrong ones.. i passed 3rd time with 45.
