Thai Public Health Ministry encourages public to receive booster vaccination before traveling

Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health encourages the public to receive a booster vaccination before traveling during the long holiday this week.

 

Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said that during this upcoming long holiday, from Wednesday 13th to Sunday the 17th, there may be an increased risk of Covid-19 infections in many areas, therefore, the Ministry would like to encourage the public to get vaccinated at vaccination centers, Provincial Health Offices, and public hospitals nationwide before traveling.

 

Anutin also reiterated that taking at least three doses or more would reduce severe symptoms and the chance of a fatality when being infected, especially among elders and people with health conditions.

Bit late as the vaccine is working after 7 days.. and the holidays start on Wednesday.. and the next holiday is end of this month .. Than it will work.. But can people go on holiday 2 times a month and maybe a 3rd time next month?? In a decreasing economy by inflation, less tourism, higer fuelprices, and higher debts??  Any way the economy is more important than the people..In Sri Lanka and other places in the world they have been aware that their Government is not helping the people and they want changes. Happily in Thailand we have Prayuth who is the best we had in years ( according to him than)

...not correct...it take 14 days for the vaccine to be fully absorbed into the body via the lymphatic system before the body has sufficient activated antibodies ready to fight off an infection.

Does this guy know  how many 'frozen shoulders' his shots have caused ?  Those Thai's that have been given a frozen shoulder along with one of those shots may have been better off taking their chances with Covid.

I have had 3 jabs, I do not plan to have anymore. Nobody knows the long term effects from these vaccines. There is such a thing as overkill as it has shown with that <deleted> Anutin. He has had at least 7 jabs  but still caught Covid....... Can't help but laugh ha ha ha

Either you get it or don’t get it.  It’s your decision and your health. If you want to take the risk and get seriously ill.  Don’t be whining how you should have gotten the vaccine.

One thing I do notice.  Most of the people that don’t want to get the vaccine.  Their main reasons are if they have to pay for it.  And  their 18th century medical opinions.

They seem better prepared than last year at least.

My main reason after suffering the alpha or beta variant when there was no vaxxes available is that I have reached natural immunity following delta, and providing I keep my  immune system healthy, I couldn't give a fig about the new variants as I'm no risk to anyone else on the planet.

 

Scaremongering, that's what it is now.

No mention of not requiring another one if you have had at least 3 doses and been infected as well, i.e. natural immunity and considered another dose is it not, or do we just keep getting vaccinated, yeh right.

sinovac and sinopharm were not free - because the thai government did not contract enough of the AZ, they had to order an emergency supplies at inflated prices, some $20 per shot. Some money was recovered from sinopharm, because it was sold at 888b. 

There were some 1mln sinovac as a gift from chinese government - that was to cover of chinese citizens living in thailand.

It was a poor deal, because all those fully vaxed with them needed boosters to protect from delta. Some 650k of donated doses of pfizer went to front line medics.

dr Anutin had sinovac as the first shots, but kept getting boosters. Probably they were checking him up properly for antibodies, before recommending more shots. But that practice is not common, because it's costly.

Still some 20% of population is not fully vaxed, even if some were able to get many vax, including those moderna ordered at private hospitals
