They've been telling us for at least 4 years that he's going down for something, but hasn't happened yet, and IMO this will turn out to be a repeat.

Meanwhile, it's a bit hard in a "democracy" to lock people up for having a viewpoint different to a certain demographic, but if they keep saying bad man, bad man, perhaps enough people will believe it to pass a special law just for him and his supporters.

Meanwhile, perhaps people should remember why Hitler came to power, and it wasn't because they thought he'd make the trains run on time. Wonder why Trump is popular? Thank about what could make people look to him for leadership- hint, it's possibly what has been going on in Washington D C for decades.

Most of the people complaining about "what has been going on in Washington D C for decades" haven't got a clue about what has been going on in Washington D.C.

They complain about the swamp without being able to define what the swamp is, how it operates, how to clean it up, how to measure progress on eliminating the swamp, and, most important, what Trump has done to "drain the swamp".  Answer to that last one:  Nothing.

One thing we can be certain will reduce corruption is greater transparency in government operations, the financial dealings of elected officials and the funding of elections through PAC's.   Trump and the Republican party have actively fought such transparency.

I disagree. One doesn't have to reside in the halls of government to know something is very wrong.

The result of government over reach for ever more power and their incompetence is evident in every person's life.

Care to give examples of this government overreach?  Care to give examples of Trump draining the swamp?  Care to give examples of the Republican Party trying to eliminate dark money in campaigns?

Where did I mention Trump or dark money? Both parties are as guilty as each other IMO.

Watching the video, that's a truly disturbing Rally held by Trump, eerie music in the background, the Trump in a bizarre speech playing up to the crowd who were showing the Q “one” sign. The only thing missing was handing out the cool aid to the cult after.

Trump’s favorability rating drops to new low: poll

Former President Trump’s favorability rating has dropped to a new low after slowly trickling down over the past few months.

A new NBC News poll released Sunday found that 34 percent of registered voters said they have a positive view of Trump, while 54 percent say they have a negative view of him. Trump’s favorability rating was at its lowest in April 2021, when his rating fell to 32 percent in the same NBC poll.

Regarding the lack of Biden transparency, it would help if you provided specifics supported by credible sources.  Otherwise you come across as just another raving pundit.

Rather than be abused and called a raving ...ah yes I see you edited it hmm. From yesterday, here is an excellent summary of Biden's lies and corruption. Fully corroborated by witnesses involved. Just imagine if this was Trump. And just look at the lack of transparency and desire to investigate these dealings with nations the US is currently having difficulties with. I think we will need to wait until after the midterms to get the transparency you so desire.

On the subject of transparency reducing corruption, I think we are all very aware that it depends which side of the political divide the person accused of corruption is on to determine how it is treated. With Trump we had about 6 years of all sorts of hare-brained accusations without supporting evidence which required forensic analysis of everything the guy did, without finding a smoking gun. People making these false accusations were not punished for doing so. The ultimate in transparency.

With Biden, the subject of this thread, there is a giant trove of evidence of potential misdoings(and certainly proof he lied about overseas business) which was falsely dismissed as being foreign disinformation and is generally censored. People that honestly and fairly try to discus and understand what the evidence proves are normally punished often banned outright from social media sites. The ultimate in opacity.

Yet you say that "Trump and the Republican party have actively fought such transparency". Clearly the opposite is true.

You need to re-visit reality.

The mess Trump is in now is only the latest part of a continuous life of grift and law breaking.

Put a pin in this:

“If You’re Innocent, Why Are You Taking the Fifth?”  (Donald J Trump)

We’re going to come back to this later…. Time and time again.

Why the need to wait after the midterms when Trumpç crooked DOJ had four years to investigate and indict if there were evdence. Barr could have bowed to GOP pressure to appoint a special counsel. But he didn't and in his own words "sees no reason" and that the case has been handled responsibly and professionally within the department. Trump was adamant at appointing a special counsel to throw a spanner into the election. Very political reasoning.

There is a link between those two, but you missed it.

Also, this proposed deal that allegedly involved Joe Biden, was concocted in 2017 when Biden was no longer vice-President. Not only that, but according to those supposedly incriminating emails, Biden actually nixed any involvement with his son's deal.

One email mentions that the equity split would include “10 held by H for the big guy ?” A former business partner of Hunter’s named Tony Bobulinski came forward to claim “the big guy” was Joe Biden. But a subsequent email from Hunter says his “Chairman” gave him “an emphatic no,” and a further email clarifies that the chairman is his dad.

Irrelevant as he can't stand again till 2024. I guess a lot depends on Biden ( or his replacement- Harris would be excellent for turning the folk to the GOP IMO ) and how he does in the next 2 years.

Two years is a very long time in politics.

To be disturbed by that one might have to believe that the movement will grow and grow to be a significant player in US politics. Personally I doubt it.

Possible does not indicate convictable fact.

Next.

I see you still don't get the point. Barr misrepresented the seriousness of the possible grounds for Trumps actions qualifying as obstruction of Justice. For which a Federal justice severely reproached him.

LOL. If you are not aware of why Washington is not popular in areas of the US you can't have been paying attention.

To detail everything wrong with Washington would take too long and is probably off topic.

Why else do you think Trump was elected?

You think that white rural and elderly white people are especially concerned about corruption?
