They're still 'girls', whether they sell sexual services in gogo bars, beer bars, massage parlours, karaoke bars, gentlemen's clubs, soapies or online.  What's the "problem"?  Prostitution is found all over Thailand, and almost every country in the world.

I've lived in Thailand most my life and know about prostitution, as I did when I lived in Edinburgh. I just find it funny when married men go to gogos and try to hide that these girls are prostitutes and pretend that their wives don't mind.

The terms whores and prostitutes have lost its meaning during the last liberal 50 years or so. We are all prostitutes in one or other way, and love to kick lower if we are capable of doing so when we can, if we can. I have met many working girls who are much better humans than those who try to trash talk them.

I used to have 2 good Scots friends who were strippers/ lap dancers, nice girls.

I like/respect most 'bar girls' in Thailand, it's the fat old mongers that annoy me.

LOL. I just wanted bargirls to do what I wanted as I was paying. I had little interest in them as people as likely I'd never see them again. I might have one for a couple weeks, but the next time I returned to Pattaya they had gone. It's not like I wanted to marry one. Some were nice, and I have fond memories, but most are forgotten.

Strangely, I more easily remember the ones I liked but didn't bar fine, perhaps because they represented possible bliss more than the ones I actually had overnight.

Without the fat old mongers the BGs would be charging way more.  Without the fat old mongers there might not even be any BGs.

Wrong. Any of the girls working in a gogo can be barfined whether in or outside. However, they may choose not to be, and that applies to all the girls whether dancers, staff, or touts. Some just do it for drinks and tips.

 

Coyotes tend to be off limits for barfines, but I've heard that some will go with customers.
